Chapter 6 :
~Mia Black~
After my afternoon classes ended I went home immediately, I had to check on Thomas. What if the orphanage was looking for him and they found him at Mrs. Rosewood’s house. My earphones plugged into my ears and listening to my favorite musical piece, a Japanese one. A very sad heartwarming musical piece that I only listen to it, I used to listen to it all the time back in Tokyo. I crossed the parking lot with big steps taking out my car keys ready to jump in and drive away to my house. When a voice called for me, It was Molly and Miranda. Again! God please leave me alone! Why are they so clingy?
“Mia, wait!” yelled Molly
I stopped in my track and turned over and faced them with my coldest expression.
“Why are you running? We have been chasing after you since class ended
“Couldn’t hear you” I said talking one earphone out of my ear
“Oh! Okay, we just wanted to invite to our girls night out!” giggled Miranda
“Girls night out? Why?” I asked
“Well thanks to you I am in the volleyball team, and I noticed that you have always been alone and quiet.” Said Molly
I just kept quiet, not knowing what to say. I know what I have to do, I will just refuse. Having them close to me may be a horrible idea. What if some old enemy showed up and tried to kill me? But I shouldn’t be that worry! I haven’t received any letters from Anonymous lately; I guess it’s all cool. I am willing to take the risk just for tonight maybe that will get them off me.
“So are you in or what?” rushed Miranda
“I don’t know, I mean why you guys are doing this. It’s not like we are friends or something so Why?” I asked again, I was really curious to know their real reasons
“Of course we are friends! We are the M&M’s. Beside I want to make it up to you since I almost burned your kitchen” said Molly
“The M&M’s?” I asked. What the hell!
“Yeah, all of our names start with an M so we are the M&M’s!” said Miranda
“Okay.. Weird! So what this girl night is out is?” I asked
“We will probably go to the mall, do some window shopping maybe watch a movie you know something like that” said Molly
…
…
…
And it was the worst decision in my whole life! What’s the use of walking in the mall watching clothes and Teddy bears! Ew! Teddy bears! Just the idea of me doing this kind of crap urging the attempt of committing suicide right on the spot!
After we passed by every single shop in this hot hell, we agreed on having and early dinner. The smell of the food aroma in the food court made my tummy ask for some food. I saw at the corner a Japanese food stand. Just the one for me, I went over and ordered some but for my bad luck my favorite weren’t there! They just served spring rolls and fried chicken and noodles and by the way it's Chinese. What happened to the Takoyaki* or the Okonomiyaki*
Well whatever better than nothing! I went back to them holding a tray full of Japanese food and took a seat with them. They kept talking about make-up and actors and models. I kept looking to them but I couldn’t understand their world.
I am a warrior. Well that was exaggerating but still, I lived to fight to challenge. I have to admit that I took so many wrong detours in my life but all of these wrong decisions made me the person I am today. I am fully aware that I can shoulder any responsibility.
