This World

This world will never be
What I expected
And if I don't belong
Who would have guessed it
I will not leave alone
Everything that I own
To make you feel
Like everything you know
Was never really real
That all our talks
Meant nothing
Even though it always meant something
That every I love you
Was really a lie that fell through
I hope you know
That you always had a glow
A light brighter than the sun
That went away by the blast of a gun
I said I'll never understand
But now I do
Because I'm walking a million miles
In your worn out shoes
This world wasn't what I expected
And I don't belong
And for once in my life
I think I'll be okay
