Maya's pov

When we landed, I was so excited to be back home. It felt good to be back and to bring Michael here.

I gave Bill the directions to the hospital and he drove.

Michael: You look so happy Maya.

Maya: I am! You don't know how much it means to me that you are paying the bills and I get to see my mother. You've made all of this possible and I couldn't thank you enough.

I kissed his cheek and he kissed my hand.

Michael: Anything for you and your family.

My heart skipped a beat. He's truly the best boyfriend ever.

We arrived at the hospital and I couldn't keep my smile off of my face. Michael put on his disguise.

Maya: Awww. You look so cute.

Michael: Stop it.

He nudged me and I chuckled as we got out of the car. We walked inside the hospital and I walked to the room number that Marc texted me.

Maya: Stay here. I'll get you in five seconds.

Michael: Your wish is my command.

He sat in the hallway lounge and I walked into my mom's room.

Helena: Maya!

Maya: Mom!

I hugged her.

Helena: I wasn't expecting you to come so soon. Oh I'm so happy to see you.

Maya: I'm happy to see you in remission. You won the battle.

Marc: She sure did.

Maya: Hey Marc.

Marc: Hey sister.

He hugged me.

Marc: What made you come down here so soon?

Maya: Well when you told me about the hospital bills, my boyfriend overheard us talking and he offered to help us out. I knew mom would want to meet him, so I brought him with me.

Helena: Where is he?

Maya: In the lounge. I'll go get him.

Marc: I'm coming with you.

Maya: No you aren't. Stay here. I'll be right back.

I walked down the hall and Michael was sitting down watching whatever was on the tv.

Maya: Ready Mike?

Michael: As ready as I'll ever be.

Maya: Are you nervous? Where's my confident boyfriend?

He chuckled.

Michael: He's in here somewhere.

I kissed him softly.

Maya: It'll be fine. Come on.

I grabbed his hand and we walked down the hall to my mother's room. We walked inside and my brother looked confused.
