Maia's POV
"I don't remember you asking me out." I said jokingly.
"I can leave if you want me to." David said slowly walking to the door.
"No! I was kidding. Don't leave me in here-snowed in by papparrazzi." I pleaded.
"Well, if you insist." he joked.
"What movies did you bring?" I asked him.
"I brought 'Just Go With It', 'Blue Lagoon: The Awakening', and 'Kick-Ass.'" I had to say, he had a really good taste in movies. I always loved those chick-flick type movies like 'Blue Laggoon: The Awakening'. I also loved comedy movies like 'Just Go With It' and action movies like 'Kick-Ass.'
"So, what movie would it be?" he asked me snapping me out of my trance.
"Um, I think I'm in the mood for some 'Blue Lagoon: The Awakening." I said giving him a shy smile.
"Alrighty then. Should we make popcorn or...." he started.
"Right. I'll go make some popcorn and you can go ahead and let the trailers play on the DVD."
I walked into the kitchen to make popcorn. As I was making popcorn, I recieved a text message. I opened it up and, to my surprise, it was Ramy.
R- Maia. I know you said we shouldn't be going out, but we should at least try to be friends, right? We don't want to end up like Taylor Swift and one of her ex-boyfriends now, do we?
Why does everything bad seem to happen to me just as I was forgetting about the paparrazzi and spending time with David? I did feel bad about dumping Ramy though. He is kind of right. We should try to be friends, right?
M- Ok. We can be friends, but I'm sort of in the middle of something right now and I really need to go. Bye.
I shut my phone off just as I finished making the popcorn and went back into the living room to watch a movie with David.
45 Minutes Later
We were watching 'Blue Lagoon: The Awakening' when we heard a knock at the door.
"Are the paps still here?" I asked David, clearly agitated by the fact that they probably were waiting outside my doorstep ready to fire questions at David and I.
"No. They left a little after we shut all the doors, windows, and covered any source of light." David replied.
"Then who's at the door?" I asked David.
"I don't know. Wait here and I'll go check." he replied. I waited in the living room as David went to go check the door.
"Great." I heard him mumble as I went to go see who was at the door.
"Hey Maia!" Ramy hollered as he invited himself in.
"Um, hey. What are you doing here?" I asked in a slightly harsh tone.
"I'm here to hang out with my friend." he said enunciating the word 'friend.'
David and I exchanged a few awkward glances then Ramy spoke up.
"Hey, look. Movies." he said walking into the living room and sitting down interrupting me and David's date.
Great. Just great. Well, three's a crowd.
