Review:

Before I start evaluating different aspects of this book, I must have you know that I really appreciate the maturity and deep insight of the author, Shreechandra . I must also say this right at the onset, that the views presented in this review are completely my candid opinion and are in no way meant to discourage the author.

Since this is a Non-Fiction Genre book and does not have a story-telling angle to it, the review observations and rating will be done on Content, Quality of literature and Facts & Examples.

The detailed observations are as follows:

1) Content: Based on the parts I have read, the book simply comes across as a collection of beliefs and learnings that the author has gathered so far. While the insights presented are quite interesting and often deep, they also tend to be situational; thereby suggesting lack of experience on the part of the author. Having said that, I must also state that Shreechandra has done a brilliant and not to forget a very bold job of taking up such delicate issues of life and simplifying them for her readers even if they are one dimensional. If she continues writing on these lines, I am sure that with age, will come the required deeper insight and understanding along with the power of deduction which will then allow her to persue a career as either a motivational author/speaker or a counselor.

2) Quality of literature : I am guessing that English is not really the first language of the author and all the literature presented was probaby first thought of, in native language and eventually translated in English. While this is a common way for most authors who don't speak/write fluent english, this also means many gramatical errors and often spelling mistakes. But as I am also guessing, this is the unedited version, so no harm done. Its fixable and a good editor will do the job perfectly :)

3) Facts and Examples : One of the best things about the book are the quotations used by the author. It shows that the author not only has insights of her own, but is also open to learn from others. However, quotations is where is stops. Since the chapters of this book are based on insights of the author, it becomes important for the author to present facts, findings, references and examples. Concepts like Life, Freindship, Depression have been described at length in various psychology and philosophy books. It would be a good idea to refer to the material before penning down the thoughts.

One must understand that concepts and topics picked up by the author are completely sujected to personal interpretation and the choice of agreeing to the author or not, remains in the hands of the reader. The success of the author is evident from the comments and votes from her devoted followers and it shows that she has the potential to be a powerful motivational leader in future. A little tweak here and there and she will rise to lead.

With that, I end this review giving the BOOK a 2.5/5.

Once again, please note that the rating was given to the book and not the author whom I would personally like to meet if given a chance to sit and talk about a career in psychology just like myself :)
