I unwrap myself from around Keegan as Caleb approaches us. He picks me up and spins me around. I giggle as he places me back on the ground.

“Thank you.” He says. “I don't know how to thank you enough.”

“Once is enough.” I pat his shoulder.

Keegan and Caleb do there bro hug. “Everyone's in the back.”

We follow Caleb inside. My family was lounging around in the backyard enjoying each others company. I nod my head towards Aliena as I walk over to Aiden. I kiss him on the check before flopping down beside him.

“Hello.” I greet them. They all stare back and forth between Keegan and I. I couldn't help the smile that was growing bigger and bigger with every second that passed. “What?” I flushed.

“Did you guys enjoy your day yesterday?” Nolan asks.

I look up at Keegan who was already staring down at me. “I don't think any word can describe the feeling of yesterday. It just wouldn't be enough.”

“Awe.” Pen mushed with a hand over her heart.

Pen was crazy. But in a good way. She was the one out of all of us to believe that love conquers are. Also, that everyone woman has a knight and shining Armour out there waiting for her. Maybe that's so. But for me, I got Keegan and he's more than that.

I look around and notice Run is missing. “Where's Runako?”

“He's at the ranch with Uncle John.” Caleb answers.

“Yeah he told me their was an emergency.” Keegan says. “What happened?”

Caleb clears his throat. “Something happened with one of the horses there and they went down to check it out.”

“Which horse?” Keegan asks.

“He said he'll call and feel you in. As of right now he don't want to worry you and ruin your reuniting with Azia.”

“Which horse Caleb?” Keegan asks again, his voice dropping.

“Apollo.”

By the look on Keegan's face, I knew that horse meant something to him. It has to be his horse. Keegan turn on his heel and walks back inside. I hold a hand out to Caleb who was about to follow him. He nods and I leave.

I enter the kitchen where Keegan is sitting at the table with his head pressed against it. I pull out a chair and sit beside him. Running a soothing hand up and down his back, I wanted him to know that I was there for him.

“Keegan I know it's difficult to go back to the ranch.” His head lifts from the table. “Whatever you decide to do, I stand with your decision.”

He rubs his hands over his face. “Apollo is my horse. I need him to be okay.”

I squeeze his hand. “Keegan maybe this is a sign that the ranch needs you. Apollo needs you.”

“I know.” He whispers. “I didn't think I would have to go back there so soon.”

“I know.” He pulls me over to him. “No one has a bond with Apollo like you do. He needs his owner.”

“You're right.”

He pulls my face down and kiss me. Deeply. “I think we should separate before I ask you to take me right here on this table. I don't think Uncle John would approve.”

“He wouldn't but I would.” Keegan laughs. I give him a final peck. “Let's go Angel.”

I stand, pulling him with me. We walk back outside and my family was already on their feet. I look back at Keegan who was looking a bit confused.

“What happened now?” I asked. Afraid we missed something.

“Nothing.” Pen said. “We see you two were done so we figured we can all head out now.”

“You're coming with me?”

“Keegan don't look so surprised.” Aiden says. “We're a family. We stick together.”

He nods. “Thanks.”

We get into the cars and head down to the ranch. We drive down another dirt road before coming upon what looks to be one long extended two story home. Clearly it was the main building. A brown wooden building.

We pull up in front of the main building. I kill the engine and step out of the car. Wow. This ranch is more than I paid attention too that day.

One side was clearly dedicated to the horses. Beauties they were. On the other side of the ranch was divided among the pigs, cows, goats, and chickens. My Keegan was truly from the country.

He takes my hand and leads us to the barn where the horses are. When we enter, I see a few people standing outside of a stall. That's got to be Apollo's. We walk over and see Uncle John along with Run and a beautiful blonde.

Keegan rushes to his side. “Apollo boy what's wrong?” His begins speaking to him.

Apollo was white. That white that kind of had a glow to it.

Run has backed away. The blonde girl is staring at the girl with wide eyes. Jo hits my arm. I look at her and she points. I shrug my shoulders and look at the scene in front of me. Then it hit me like lightning. Jordan.

Jordan attention was focused way more on Keegan instead of Apollo. I look at Jo and mouth 'ex-girlfriend'. She sticks a finger in her mouth, making a vomit face. I snicker and push her playfully.
