trust
mustering up as much courage as i could, i went to the beach again the next day.
sitting in the burning sand, i waited.
the countless heads on the beach, all blended together, with no grayson in sight.
i felt a tapping on my shoulder.
it was grayson. he looked sorrowful.
"i'm sorry if you were expecting me yesterday. my parents kept me home. it was a family thing yesterday. i wanted to come, trust me."
trust.
grayson had gained something no one had ever gained before.
my trust.
i believed him, hugging him, saying it was okay.
thanking him.
