The Caswell Series: Book 1 Edenia

Chapter 1

Chapter One:

I was awakened by the bright sunlight that spread inside my closed eyes, making me open them up. I sat up groggily and stretched. I looked at my surroundings and saw a girl on the bed and when I looked down a guy on the floor. Memories of last night flashed into my head. I got up and went looking for my clothes.

 “Hey what are doing?”  The girl Millie or the something like that asked half-awake.

“Oi, idk it’s called getting dressed sweetie. “ I told her sarcastically, putting on my grey skinny jeans.

“Awww I thought we could hang out, last night was fun.”  The girl said trying to sound seductive.

I started chuckling.

“What’s so funny?”  The girl asked.

“Well…..if you haven’t noticed that’s all it was honey, last night. So see ya babe and tell the bloke on the floor I’ve had bigger.” I said blowing her a kiss. I started laughing when I heard the girl whining and trying to wake the guy up. I walked out the house and went looking for my car.

“Shit I left it at home last night.” I said pulling out my phone.

 “Bonjour”, Madeline answered yawing.

“G’day mate I need a ride.” I spoke into the phone.

She started laughing. “Oh goodness, where are you dear?” Madeline asked.

I looked around to find a street name or something.  “I really don’t know, all I remember was having good time at Dan’s bash and then I woke up with this sheila and bloke.” I said

“It’s ok I’ll use the mind screen to find you Cherie. Stay put. I’ll try not to wake up the girls.” Madeline said, hanging up. It’s on days like this I love having her for a sister.

I walked away from the house and sat down on the curb. Last night’s bash was fun; it was such a bonsa way to get back at that ass-hole Jack. I promised the girls I wouldn’t play games with this one but he deserves it for messing around with a chick that’s as ugly as a box of blowflies. This is going to be bloody awesome when he finds out. It’ll be all over school by tomorrow and people don’t even know we broke up. So what if they will think I cheated on him, it is what it is. I started playing around with my Water element when a Red Convertible Porsche pulled up.

“So, long night?” she asked laughing.

I got off the curb, dusted off my clothes and got in the car. “Ugh you have no idea, I mean the guy...um Jimmy, yeah I think that was his name, dick was a little too small to satisfy me. The only thing I liked about it was that the girl, Millie, could give some head.” I said chuckling. Maddi knows my record with people; now I’m not a whore or anything I just know what I want and its sex. I don’t really give a shit what people say or anything, it’s my instincts to do it. Ok maybe I can’t blame it all on that, but hey is worth a shot.

“I can feel you’re distracted and you’re blocking me again. Tell me what is wrong.” Madeline said in her gentle yet commanding voice.

I didn’t realize I was just sitting looking dazed for a while. “I’m worried about the outcome of telling our sisters about the move.” I said my family is weird I have 3 younger sisters from across the world who, I might add, have different mothers then me. You could say Madeline would be my adopted sister because her parents left her in mines care.

“Listen Dearie, they might take it well. But I thought you would be the one who would miss it here the most, knowing we’re leaving family behind.” She said while sneaking a glance at me.

It’s true, what she said, I’m going to miss it here in Australia, my mama and papa. Then there are my older brothers, but that’s the cost of being the way I am. There’s always a price to being for being different, or so they say.  

“Come on! Why the long face? Maybe the family will be interested in moving with us.” Maddie said while speeding home.

“You know it’s dangerous for us to move! And if we try to include everyone and their mother, the Hunters would track us for sure.” I snapped.

I hated to be a bitch to her but I have to put our pack and family before our personal needs. See where not normal people. Our families are mixed with Humans, Werewolves, Fairies and now Vampires. My families are mostly werewolves and Fairies and now we have Vampires to add to the bunch.  There’s are group of people called the Hunters going after mixed breeds and just so happened that’s what my sisters and I are and now they’re after us. I haven’t told anyone but Maddie and I’m sure that any moment now that Anastassia will find out.

Maddie was giving me a guilty look. Then all of a sudden it turns to shook. “What’s wrong?” I asked.

“I just read your mind, then Stassia sent me a mind tap and……”

“And what?”

“We’ll she said already knows.” She said. She didn’t have to tell me who she was talking about I already know. But unlike most I wasn’t fazed by it because I am the Alpha. My word is law and I had my reason for keeping this a secret. The hunters don’t know where Half-breeds unless we use our powers in a certain distance of them. I don’t know how they do this but they do so we must hurry and get back home so I can talk to the others and explain why where moving and why I didn’t tell them.

“We need to hurry up and get home before one of them blows up the house…literally.” I said I’m thinking of the best way to tell them while she was speeding

“Ok, and don’t worry you’ll think of something you always do.” She said with a cheeky smile.

I started laughing because she always knows what I’m thinking without having to read my mind.
