Episode #46
Jane woke early to find her head upon Jim’s ample chest.
She loved the smell and feel of him and stoked the blonde hairs glinting on his torso.
Jim stirred. He rolled over on his side and opened his eyes.
“Good morning,“ he said, smiling that warm, southern smile of his.
“Good morning,” she kissed his nose.
“How do you feel?” His fingers touching the side of her face, making ringlets of her hair. “
Not too bad. A headache.”
She rarely drank and she should have had a hangover after all the wine she’d drunk. The only discomfort she felt though, was the small headache and anxiousness about her behavior. Last night had been like she and Jim were never apart.
She was an adult, but there hadn’t been anyone in Jane's life since her husband’s death.
In the beginning she had mourned his loss deeply and later, there was simply no one she was attracted to.
As Amy got bigger, she thought long and hard about starting a romance. She wanted to be very careful before she brought anyone into their lives. Children could get very attached.
And for the past few months, she’d been attracted to David Marsh. How on earth had Jim come back into her life so quickly?
Recalling their love-making this morning, her face and neck blushed crimson.
