Okay, so I'm sorry about how short the chapters have been. The last one was going to be longer, but I didn't know how long it would take me to write all of it. So I'll try to make this one longer.

Recap:

I turned the corner and saw.....

I don't really know what it was that I saw. It was a lady, or at least it looked like a lady. Her hair was the only thing that made her not look like a lady. It was made of a withering mass of snakes. I tried to think back to all the times I had discussed women with snakes for hair. It took a while because there was lots of times I had discussed women. Then something click in my head. She was a gorgon, like Medusa. She appeared to be digging through the trash.

Haha. The monster is digging through the trash.

Then I realized what I had just thought. This thing was an actual monster. Like from myths and stuff. And I was standing here like an idiot, laughing to myself. God, I'm an idiot.

I turned around to run away, and being the talented person I am, I stepped on a twig. And then fell. Ah, crap. The gorgon lady whipped around.

Hehe, whipped

Stop it Katie. You need to focus.

Oh, great, now I'm talking to myself.

I quickly got up and ran away as fast a I could.

Run, run, as fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man.

Then I tripped. Again.

I got up and looked behind me. No sight of anything. Not even a rat. Maybe I out ran her? I had a bad feeling about this place.

I walked a bit farther and then realized that I had no clue where I was. I was lost. Not the first time this has happened. It happens almost everyday. I have a terrible sense of direction.

I kept walking forward until I came to a fork. I kind of wanted to go right, but I wasn't sure.

Ennie, meanie, minnie, moe.

My finger landed on the left path.

I went right anyway.

I walked and walked and walked. The path seemed to go on forever. Then I heard it. A faint hiss. Oh, no. She has found me again. I panicked and did what any panicked person would do.

I hid behind a dumpster.

Not my smartest move.

The hissing got louder.

My heart started to beat faster. Oh, crap. Oh, crap. I'm going to die.

The hissing got louder and louder. Then it stopped. I waited. Nothing. Then I heard footsteps coming towards me.

Please don't be a monster.

I heard the dumpster move and I opened one eye.

It wasn't a monster. It was a boy. He looked about fifteen, maybe sixteen. He had had black hair and deep sea green eyes. He was also really tan.

"Are you okay?" Mystery Boy asked.

"Oh, yeah, I'm perfectly fine. I'm just behind this dumpster for fun." I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

He laughed and smiled at me.

"I'm Percy," he said and offered me his hand.

"Kat" I replied, taking his hand after careful consideration.

"We need to leave now" he said to me.

"Why?"

"You'll find out later". He then whistled and a black pegasus flew out of the clouds.

He got on the pegasus and then looked at me like you coming.

"I'm not getting on that thing" I said, eyeing it with worry.

"I promise you it's totally safe" Percy said, smiling at me with amusement.

"If I die, your paying for the funeral"

He laughed at that and waited for me to get on.

I slowly slid on to the horse's back. Percy whispered something to it and we took off.

The city at night was beautiful. So many lights and sounds. It was like a different world.

"Where are we going?" I asked him.

"You'll see"

And that is the end of Chapter 3. It took me a while to think of what to write for this. Also, I saw that I had 10 readers (one of them being me), so I'm really happy. Keep on reading guys.
