"And you'll be positioned right-
here." Mrs. Greene clearly was quite excited for tomorrow. David, her only son was getting married. Every one was in the dreamy, wedding mood.

What about me? Was I happy that my only sister was getting her own future ripped apart? No.

"Yeah alright then. Actually, excuse me for a bit if you can."

"Sure, darling. Is there a problem?"
Her googly eyes looked upon me with concern.

"Ma'am, since you are insisting, I need to breathe." Without waiting for a reply I went for the exit door of the Ballroom.

Since David's family could not actually afford The Plaza, my naive sister had to pay most of it from her own savings ; this was the part that had struck me the hardest.

Why could that stupid effing son of a bitch not pay for it?! Why can't my sister not see that he is going to bankrupt her?

But then again, she was the one who studied philosophy. Of course she's an idiot.

The scent of the Ballroom suddenly vanished and a familiar one struck me, and I was glad. Glad to know that I can finally breathe. Breathe, my own variety that can keep me alive, ironically.

In front of me I saw the sign in bold, black letters.

'SMOKING ROOM'

And I entered into my paradise, filled with delight and with a skip in my pace like a five year old, who had found her candy mountain.

Meh. Enough with the prose and poetry, alright.

As I had expected it to be; blurry.

This is what I wanted the world around me to be like, blurred out. Where I have to talk to none, get annoyed by none and the best part ; no need to befriend anybody whatsoever. Just do your deal and get out in a jiffy.

A simple, plain life.

In front of me I did see the figure of a man in black ; faceless, actually.

Lovely.

I was trying to fetch the lighter from my back pocket-

But then I saw it.
Fire.

Everything went past in a blur.

Red flames,

Warm hands,

Blue eyes,

Darkness.
