chapter eighteen

Claire's POV:
I woke up feeling a bit sick I kept on going to the bathroom to throw up. "Babe is everything okay?" Tanner asked me. "Yep I am totally fine." I continued to throw up. "uhmm no you are not I am gonna take you to the doctors right now to see what's up." Tanner said. I brushed my teeth and changed into new clothes. I went downstairs to eat breakfast with Tanner and we went to the car to head to the doctors.
                     at the doctors
"okay Claire it turns out that you are pregnant." the doctor said before he left the room. "Tanner I am scared." I said "Why are you scared?" He asked "what if you leave the baby and me?" "Claire I would never leave you. I promise I will always be by your side." He hugged and kissed me. We went out to go eat at McDonalds. "How are we going to tell our moms?" I asked Tanner. "I am pretty sure you mom would understand and so will my mom." "Maybe we should invite them over tomorrow for dinner?" I suggested "okay. what about Jake and Madi?" "Oh yeah them too." After we were done eating we went to buy some stuff for tomorrow's dinner. Once we got back home I called Tanner's mom and my mom while Tanner was showering. I went to the kitchen to put the food away before going upstairs.
                next day (dinner time)
Tanner and I got everything set up just in time our moms came inside the house with Jake and Madi. "Hi everyone welcome to the new house!" Tanner said. We all sat sow at the dining table and started eating. After we ate we went to the living room. "okay the reason why Tanner and I invited everyone here was because we wanted to tell you guys we are engaged and pregnant!!!!" I looked at Tanner how was smiling nervously. It was silent at first but then everyone was cheering. "I can't wait till the baby comes!!" Tanner's mom said. "When did you find out?" Jake asked "Yesterday morning" I replied. "Well I am really happy for you two." My mom said "Thanks momma." After that we went outside to watch the sunset. "Thank you guys for coming out today." I said while they were leaving. "Oh no problem." Our moms said. "bye guys drive safe." Tanner yelled before they drove off. We walked back inside to clean the dining table. "Hey you should probably rest. I will clean the rest." Tanner said. "okay I love you!" "I love you too." I went upstairs to our bedroom and fell asleep on the bed.
