Dylan leaned over to Landon. "I think she needs more time than we think" Dylan and Landon both let out a little laugh.
"Guys, it's not funny. I truly think I'm dead. I died in a carcrash driving over to the hospital to go visit Ian because I know hes alive." They all gave me puzzled looks. "I knew the cancer hadn't actually beaten Ian over, and all of you thought it did. I could feel he was still alive, so I was going to the hospital to visit him and wait for him to come back to his senses and breathe again." I paused. "I started seeing Ian and everything was going black. Everything was just gone, and I was drifting away. I was dead. But than, I heard Landon's voice. I could hear it thought my dying, I could hear it every single minute I was dead. It's what woke me up." Landon smiled and looked down into his hands.
Dylan, Jack and Elliot were still confused. They're eyebrows were furrowed, and they were all staring at me weirdly.
"Wait wait wait. Ian's dead and he has cancer?" Jack said quietly but forcefully.
Landon and I made quick eye contact before Landon cleared his throat. "Yes. Ian has cancer. He's not dead." Landon swallowed and stared at the boys. "He's known about his cancer since July. He told me in November, her on Christmas Eve. He has til March to live. It was sooner or later that you guys were going to find out. Turns out it's sooner rather than later."
They all stared deeply at my bedsheets. So much confusion, upsetion, and furiousity in their eyes.
"Can we go visit him? Like. Now." Elliot said forcefully.
"Yes. We'll go sho..." Landon said whileI cut him off.
"No. We can't. Well I can't. He told me to never come back." I could feel the tears dripping down my cheeks as my face rosed into a frown and the tears were coming faster.
They all looked at eachother. "Was that? Was that.." Dylan tried saying angrily.
"Was that the reason you cut your wrist Hailey?" Jack said plainly.
I looked down at my wrist and could see the blood rushing out, covering even the bandaids in blood. I looked back up at Jack and nodded. They all clenched their fists and picking me up, Jack carried me downstairs with all the boys following behind. Jack kicked the door open, bent down, grabbed my shoes and walked outside, placing me in the far backseat of the van. He threw my shoes beside me, just as the boys trampled into the car. Landon and Elliot sitting in front of me, Dylan driving and Jack in the passenger seat.
"Did any of you be smart enough to grab my phone?" They all looked around and Elliot picked the phone out of his pocket and handed it back to me. "Thanks Elliot." I smiled and started checking all my messsages.
None. No messages. No phone calls. Nothing. Obviously I wasn't out for that long or else I would've gotten more. I sighed and placing my phone in the cupholder I reached over, grabbed my converse and slipped them on. They really didn't go very well with my outfit but whatever.
I looked out the window just as we arrived to the hospital and everyone started getting out. I looked down for a quick moment, than unbuckled my seat belt and grabbing my phone, hopped out of the car. I ran and caught up to the boys and followed them into the hospital. We walked up to Ian's room and all the boys went inside. I just stood at the door waiting.
15 minutes later.
I'm still standing outside the room, when all of a sudden I could hear shouting and giggling from inside the room. I sighed and just sat on the floor.
10 minutes later.
I was sitting outside the room, when I started hearing the door know rattle and Jack walked out giggling. "Hey Hails, you can come inside now." He smiled and reached a hand out for me, as I grabbed his hand he pulled me up and he walked inside, holding onto my hand.
