Akai pov

I grabbed Adam's hand firmly and stood up. I closed my eyes and focused on the warm that was radiating from his hand which brought me to my senses. I open my eyes
"Attention students, school is out, go home lock your doors, I repeat school is out , the buses will be approaching the loop momentarily!"I said with a smirk on my face . " We should s-stay ."Liz said with a crack in her voice while curling herself on the floor with her knees hugged to her chest.
Liz is always careful and wants to take the easy way out while the rest of us like to take risks. She can be shy and stuck up. But she is one of my best friends.

"No!They will find us.What about our families!We have to make sure they're Okay!" Tyler said in a Stern voice.

"Find something to fight with!" Zoe shouted.

Adam looked in Mrs.Strauss's desk to find a large daggers in her drawer. He held it in the air and gave a wide grin like the Cheshire Cat.
I flipped one of the wooden table and kicked off the legs. I don't know where I found this courage from but all I know is that I don't have time to crawled under my bed and wish this nightmare because I'm fully aware now hat this is real and that I need to be strong for my friends and I need to get back to my dad. I refuse to believe that my dad would die or became. .  .  .

No no no.
I dismiss the though of that possibility of him becoming one of the infected.
I took two of the legs to him and he started sharpening  them to a pointy tip that was as sharp as the knife itself. We all know what to do, to be honest every kid had been preparing for something like this, rather it be from watching a lot of zombie movies or shooting them in an arcade game. Sometimes others might have fantasied about this in reality and wanting to be the person to save the human raise.
   But what we are basically about to do is murder, or you can put it kill or be killed and it makes me sick to my stomach to actually stick this wooden stick into the head or heart of the infected and for all we knew there could be a cure.
     No , there is no coming back from this.

Lucy, Zoe , Tyler open to door to go to the supply closet to get softball bats and the lacrosse sticks.
I went to go grab other table leg for Liz . Adam sharpen it at the teachers desk.
"Here"
I gave the steak to Liz who was on the floor she opened her shaky sweaty palm to receive the weapon.

Tyler pov

We looked out of the class room to see Zombies across the hall on the floor eating flesh. Lucy covered her mouth with her hand in fear that she might throw up. " Hey guys we have a situation." I said in a low voice with fear that those 'things' would hear us. Akai then walk to the door and we all peeked out one stand over the other. It was me at the bottom, then Lucy,Zoe,Liz ,Akai, and Adam. We all looked in disgust at the figures that were eating a human body that happen to be Mrs. Strauss.
Akai got from under Adam and brought her to wooden steaks with her. She look so enraged that she was going to explode. When Akai was only a few feet away they look up at her and a low growl escaped their discolored lips. Before one of them could get up she threw the steak square in its head , blood and gue rushed out the head like a volcano erupting . Akai covered mouth so it wouldn't get in. The other zombie ran to us. Before being inches away from eating us, the zombie Paused . . . .

PLOP!! It dropped to the ground face down with a steak in it's head. Akai had thrown that steak from 50feet away and had direct connect with the target. We all give her a thumbs up in unison with shocked expression plastered on our faces. She smiled sheepishly though I know that it must have pained her to take a life.
"Let's get some food first!"Liz says Enthusiastically.
Liz pov
I had to lighten up because my attitude is making everything worse. The more time we spend in here is another minute of our families being in danger unless they're already dead. But before I was just thinking about how I'm going to die and they could see that. Right now I have to be strong for them. I ran quietly to Akai. " Well what are y'all waiting for, the world to end?"I questioned cheerfully. They all look at me shocked to see me like this, and as they calculate my joke their faces turned pained and hurt Stinged  in their eyes for only a moment and they immediately covered it with a smile. Even if the world was on a one way trip to hell I kept my head held high but what I said brought back the reality that it really will end.
"Okay!" Zoe while they walked back into the class to get all our book bags minus the books.
We head to the Stairwell where Tyler slide down the pol. The lunch room was right down stairs the only thing we had to do was make a right after we get off the staircase. We peaked in the small window of the lunch room door to see hundreds of zombies with our school uniforms on. They were just standing there , murmurs escaped from some of their mouths but not words and others were just walking around bumping into each other. " So how are going to get in there?" Lucy said in frustration.
I think up at the ceiling thinking that the ideas would come from there and they did . I saw a vent that was right above Akai. "Bingo." I whispered.
They all looked at me curiously then looked up the vent and smiled back at me.
"Give me a leg!" Zoe gave me three book bags to put food in. Of course I would  go alone .
"I want to go." Lucy's eye beamed with confidence.
"No babe, I'll be right back."
I said giving her a peck on the cheek. Adam went up to me and enter locked his fingers and put them down to my knees. I stepped on his hands with both feet.
   He lifted me high enough you the vent was right above my head. I took off the hinges and pushed myself up into the ceiling without making a sound because from what I observed they can't see. Suddenly I could heard low murmurs in the distance. I crawl to where the sounds came from. There was a open in front of me that show the cafeteria kitchen. I looked down to see no one there. They were probably in the lunchroom which was yards away from the kitchen, that distance was good enough for us to leave without being noticed by the undead.
