At sports camp watching Shrek. We've had several lovely "swamp" jokes, one "build a wall" joke, and at least five people shout "SHREK IS LOVE".
I'm stuck in a room of memers.
Well anyways before I start I just read an AMAZING nuzlocke that honestly made me feel better than I have in weeks (also if anyone has any suggestions for good nuzlocke comics TELL ME!).
The one I just read was called Goddamn Critical Hits and I highly recommend you read it:(Dusty and Potema are both my major ship for the series AND two of the best characters from any Nuzlocke ever.)
So as for the actual art I've been working on a bunch of new stories... quite slowly I might add... but it's something and I really do want new content for all of you :) this story as well as the one involving the fusions from earlier are two very character driven concepts that have very little plot surrounding them.
The difference is that this new idea is more like Where The River Bends... We might not have a plot but we can still be COMFY AS HELL.
I haven't had the time to draw and the few doodles I have had time to do are absolute shit (art block a bitch)
Have my charasRiptide/Scarface is part of a new species I'm currently working on. They're somewhere between selkies, mermaids, and werewolves and are heavily connected to both the moon and the ocean.
The first picture is from when she was younger while the second one is... later. Riptide used to be alpha of a young pack but was wounded near fatally in a fight. She became extremely lethargic and somewhat empty afterwards and because she was no longer a capable leader she was kicked out of her own pack. She headed into the shallows (often known as where those already dead go to die) and fell to shore during a violent storm. Her face was hit several times against the rocky ground leaving a large scar that never healed (hence the nickname).
No one knows how long she remained by the shore in a human form but she left early and is very, very old by human standards.
Then there's some stuff with dimension jumping, a renegade seraph, and now she lives in her natural form near the ocean in a "secluded" environment and is taking care of these dorks:Waves, Devin or Devvy (short for Devestation), and Seagull are travelers (fun fact: their town is also mentioned in The Cities Have Fallen) who live with the worlds most unqualified single mom and a host of otherworldly refugees.
Let's just say that in the ten-ish years the Princess was out a lot of people took advantage of the anarchy.
I do think it would be fun to explore what goes on in Dreamland outside the main plot because the world is really bizarre and almost everyone's life is cosmically significant in some way and the planet breathes.
Also it's fun to make up really quirky characters with dramatic back stories.
