*The Next Morning*
Stevie woke up and smiled as he remembered what went on last night. He glanced over next to him, to find the spot where his girlfriend had been, empty. He got confused and looked around. He spotted her sitting at the window seat that he had, just looking out at the view. He got out of bed and walked over to her, he stood behind her and let his arms slip around her figure.
"Hey." He softly said.
"Hey." She replied, just as soft.
Stevie smiled and lent in for a kiss. Jen smiled back at him and returned the kiss.
"I love you Stevie."
"I love you too." He replied.
He looked at her and could sense something was on her mind, he wasn't sure what but something. He hated that feeling though, seeing her this way was weird for him.
"You look so sexy." He joked.
"Well it is your shirt." She replied, laughing.
"I know, that's my point."
"So you're saying you're sexy?"
"No, but you probably think it, don't you?"
"Rrriigghhtt."
"Oh come on, don't be sarcastic here."
"Sorry, but really, you know I think you're sexy."
Stevie laughed and tightened his grip around her, then gave her another kiss.
"What do you wanna do today?" He asked.
"Um, nothing, I like staying here with you." She replied.
"Alright, but let's get changed at least."
"Why?"
"Cause, my parents are coming home today and I doubt they wanna see us like this."
"What time are they coming?"
"Don't know, they never told me."
"Well, can we just lay in bed a little longer and then get changed. Cause I really don't want too."
"Alright, but if we hear them, we're going to have to get dressed pretty fast."
"Ok, ok, it's fine. Just come on."
Jen took her boyfriends hand and led him back towards his bed. They climbed backed into the bed as he pulled the cover over their bodies. Wrapping his arms around her, he pulled her figure close to him, nuzzling his face into her neck. She smiled, looking down at him. Giving Stevie a light kiss, she let herself cuddle up in his arms, gripping onto him, not wanting to let go ever. Nothing felt more right than the quiet moment they were having together.
"So, what do you think will happen next year?" She softly asked.
"Don't know, what do you want to happen?" He replied.
"Um, well for us to still be together, but that's not what I'm kind of worried about."
"Then what is?"
"After next year, when we graduate, the whole college thing."
"Right, um, have you at least picked the ones you wanna go to?"
"Kind of, I've looked into some, but I don't know for sure which one I'm gonna attend."
"Well at least get into them first."
"Yeah I know, what about you?"
"Yeah, I've looked into some too. But I don't know yet either."
"I just, I kind of don't want to be separated cause I know that won't work out easily."
"I know what you mean, we just have to deal with it one step at a time."
"I know, I'm just kind of wondering since these days are flying by."
"Yeah, I get it, but relax, when time gets closer we'll see what happens."
"Ok."
Stevie smiled and pulled her closer, then lent in and gave her a kiss. He, himself, knew it wasn't easy thinking about the future. It was hard enough being Juniors, now Seniors, and worrying about colleges. It scared him as much as it did for her too. He didn't want to lose her. But growing up has to happen at one point, and it was a given, if they were able to be accepted at the same school, it was cool. If not, then they'd have to do whatever they could to stay together.
"STEVIE!" They suddenly heard.
Stevie and Jen looked over at each other in surprise hearing his parents.
The two quickly got out of bed and changed into their clothes, then made sure they looked decent; making sure the hair wasn't out of place and nothing looked like they had done things they shouldn't have - then headed down to meet his parents.
"STEVIE ARE YOU HOME?"
"Yeah!"
His parents looked over and found him walking into the living room with Jen, holding onto her hand.
"Oh, hi Jen."
"Hi."
"You're over early, or did you spend the night together?"
"She stayed over last night." Stevie replied.
His parents just smiled and watched the two teens take a seat on the two-seating couch.
"So, you two ready for your final year of high school?"
"Yeah, kind of. I'd like to stay there but I'd like to get out too." Jen said.
"Yeah, same here." Stevie replied.
"Well, that's always the feeling." His mom said, laughing.
"You two pick out colleges yet?" His dad asked.
"Yeah." They both replied.
"Same ones?"
"Um, we haven't really talked about that yet." Stevie said, as he glanced over at Jen.
"Yeah, um, we kinda started but we haven't mentioned which ones we chose." Jen replied.
"Well you two might want to work it out this coming year, as you know, long distance relationships will be hard."
"We know." Stevie said, glancing at his girlfriend.
He could tell she wasn't fond of the idea of them being separated, no matter which colleges they chose to attend. He slipped his arm around her as she lent in and rested her head on his shoulder.
"Yeah, um, see I was really thinking of staying in the area anyways, I kind of don't wanna leave home and live in a dorm. So I might pick one close to home where I'll just drive to and from. But I'm not sure yet." Jen softly said.
"I might stay in the area too. Or maybe go to one at least an hour or two away max so that I'll drive over on the weekends and stuff." Stevie replied.
