Sonnet 103: Fair Youth
(Faults 14)

Oh, if I had the courage to pursue
My destiny upon the rolling main,
I'd take my chances on that stormy brew
Of doubt and bear it out against the grain
Of circumstance, perhaps take captainship
After many a year upon the sea,
Perhaps obtain a better fellowship
Amongst far greater men in fealty
To some great leader of a secret league,
Perhaps usurp a throne by making love
To some young-looking queen in some intrigue
And overtake the kingdom's rule thereof!
Ah, how a thousand thoughts of grand adventure
Persuade me to enact my foolish venture!

(To be continued...)
