Chapter 40: Day 16/Aiden

I walked up to the nearest group, my hands slightly shaking from nervousness, and made myself look like the least threatening person. But they didn't see it like they. Almost every person got to their feet and readied themselves for a fight. I could count at least fifty of them and even then there were more people sitting in the back like reinforcements. I had crossed into their territory. I was instantly a threat, no matter what I did.

I stopped in my tracks, stopping only a few feet away from the first guy. He stared me down with a look of hatred as I heard him crack his knuckles. He wasn't a big guy though. In fact, he was shorter than me and had a lot less weight on him. But he looked scrappy. It seemed like he been in a few fights due to the fact that he scraps, cuts, and bruises covering his arms and face. If it came down to it, I think I could have won.

"What you want?" The scrappy kid asked me in a menacing tone. "We don't want no trouble here so tell us what you need to say."

"Are you all together?" I pointed at all them making sure I got my question to him clearly.

"Yeah, we a crew. Who wants to know? You here to take on all of us or something?" He took a step forward and so did the rest of his people.

I almost took a step back but thought against it. I stepped forward, wanting to show I wasn't scared of them. "Well, do you have a leader? Someone who calls the shots for you guys?" He kept staring me down, trying to see what I was planning. "I have a question they need to answer. It's time sensitive."

The kid looked at me up and down, wanting to find a reason to lunge at me and get into a fight. But when he couldn't find anything he turned his head slightly, still keeping me in his sights.

"Julie! Rachel! That Aiden kid wants to see y'all!" He shouted to the inside of his group. Just then, it clicked that this was the two girl's group.

I looked over his shoulder, wanting to see who was coming, and saw two bodies shuffle from the middle of the crowd. They pushed their way through their people with leadership and confidence and stood right behind the kid. He looked back at them, a slight smile creeping onto his face while he looked them up and down. I shuddered a little bit, knowing what he was thinking, but kept my mouth silent.

The two girls stood side by side, each giving me a wonder-filled stare, and looked at me for any clues of what I wanted.

The girl on the left stood slightly taller over the other one with long blonde hair, greasy and slightly tinted with red, and with shining blue eyes. Her face was surprisingly clear from signs of a fight and any signs of pimples. It practically glowed in the lights above us. Her chest strained to stay in her bra while her curves took me all the way down to her unscathed tan legs. I couldn't comprehend how she kept her body so pristine. She was breathtaking.

Once I realized what I was doing, my face turned to a harsh red and I quickly looked up, wanting to apologize for what I did but figured it would only make it even more obvious I did it.

I swiftly looked over to the girl next to her. She was shorter than the other one by a couple of inches and looked completely different from her counter part. She was extremely skinny. She didn't seem to have much muscle on her but she looked as healthy as anyone could in the hospital. She had long brown hair with light brown eyes to go with it. She had very red lips with a somewhat beaten face. You could she had taken a couple hits ever since this whole thing had started. She had a recent cut above her eye and a couple scabs going down her neck and to her shoulders. But she didn't seem to notice them. She wore them proudly, knowing they were wounds of victory. Of still staying alive.
