Karma's Secret; Singing in the Forest

It was lunch time, and I was in the forest humming an old tune that Asano and I used to sing. It was "Shinkai Shoujo" by Nero and Yuuto orginally sung by Hatsune Miku. I loved to sing, and Asano would join me. We were best friends, and childhood friends. Every time Asano and I were free, we would disappear into the forest and sing random songs. Now that we were in different classes. I could not see him that much. The only time we could meet was during lunch. 

"Hey Karma, still singing that one now are you?" 

I turned my head around and smiled at my friend. 

"Yeah, got a problem with it second place." 

"Hey, you don't have to be like that for now. No one is around."

Whenever we are around other people, we put on masks and pretend to be enemies, but we take them off when it's just the two of us. 

"Hey, Karma, want to sing?"

"Yeah, which one though?"

"How about the one you just hummed." 

"Sure!" 

Asano pulled out his phone and hooked it up to a speaker. He looked for the song and gave a thumbs up. 

I sang first:

 Kanashimi no umi ni shizunda watashi
me o akeru no mo okkuu
kono mama doko made mo ochite yuki
dare ni mo mitsukerarenai no kana  

Asano sang the second verse: 

 Doko e mukai nani o sureba
futo sashikomu hitosuji no hikari
te o nobaseba todokisou da kedo
nami ni sarawarete miushinatta  

Then I sang again: 

Are wa ittai nan datta no kana
atatakakute mabushikatta no
muishiki no kauntaa-irumineeshon
usotsuki wa dare 

We both sang the chorus: 

Shinkai shoujo madamada shizumu
kurayami no kanata e tojikomoru
shinkai shoujo dakedo shiritai
kokoro hikareru ano hito o mitsuketa kara  

 After the chorus, Asano started the fourth verse: 

Hiru mo yoru mo nakatta kono basho
na no ni nemurenai yoru wa tsuzuku
jiyuu no hane ookiku horogete
oyogu anata wa kirei deshita  

I sang the fifth verse:

Soshite mata hikari wa furisosogu
mitorete itara me ga atta
kizuite kocchi o furikaeru anata ni
usotsuki na watashi  

Then we sang together again:

Shinkai shoujo wazawaza shizumu
kurayami no sanaka ni akai hoo
shinkai shoujo HADAKA no kokoro o miseru yuuki
kuroi umi ga mada yurusanai  

I sang one line:

Konna ni fuku wa yogorete shimatta 

Asano sang the next line:

Egao mo minikuku yugande itta

Then we both sang the last line of the sixth verse:

Dare ni mo awaseru kao nante nai no
mou houtte oite yo  

We waited for the instrumental to end before we sang the seventh verse. 

I sang first again:

Koe ni naranai kimochi ga afurete toketa 

Then Asano:

Tsugi no shunkan kimi ga totsuzen sugata o keshita  

For the eighth verse, we split, and Asano went first.

Shinpaishou no kanojo wa aseru
yami ga kare o kakushi hitori-kiri 

Then I sang: 

Genkai shoujo sono te o nobasu                                                                                                                              "Hora ne kimi mo suteki na iro o kakushite'ta" 

Then we ended the song by singing together: 

Shinkai shoujo ude o hikareru
utau shukufuku no marin-sunoo
shinkai shoujo motto shiritai
kokoro hikareru ano hito o mitsuketa kara  

Kono umi o dete ima tobitatsu no  

After the song ended, we were exhausted and happy. Little did we know that someone was close and heard the whole song. I checked my watch, and said it was time to go back to class. Asano nodded and packed his stuff. Just before he left, he gave me a peck on the lips. My eyes widen, and I was frozen in place. Asano waved good bye, and I stuttered wait, but he said we'll talk next time. I sighed and wondered what he was thinking. I rubbed my finger over my warm lips and blushed. As soon as I reached the classroom, I shook my head and reapplied the mask, pretending to be a demon.
