Why mommy?

Brooke's P.O.V.

"Mommy I finished my breakfast can I please go outside and play on my swing set?" I asked. "Of course just stay with in the fence." Mother replied. I went outside to go play on my swing set with my teddy Mr.Cuddles.

After a few hours of playing it was time to come inside because the guests will be arriving soon for mothers celebration for work,I honestly don't know why she should celebrate about her job, as long as there is cookies I can snatch.

I see a lot of people walking inside , men and women that all look very unfamiliar to me, of course I don't know who they are I'm only six years old!

Mothers P.O.V.

I quickly rush all of my co-workers inside so they have a secure place to stay, I make sure to make everyone understand Brooke is only six and doesn't understand anything about the attack that is coming.

Brooke's P.O.V.

I see everyone looking very terrified,is mommy going to hurt them or something? This is a celebration they should all be happy, I know I am I just want some cookies and go to bed! After a few minutes, I still don't understand why everyone is looking so scared and standing close to each other.

It was finally time for bed even though the guest are still here.Mommy gets my Pajamas and helps me put them on. "Mommy, Why are the guests still here, and why am I sleeping in our basement?" I asked "I just don't want anyone to bother you so I put you down here so you can be safe." Mother replied. She kissed me on the head and I went to sleep

Mothers P.O.V.

I had to keep Brooke safe so after I put her pajamas on her, I took her down to the basement so no attackers could find her. I leave the guest upstairs because I care about Brooke more
"Mommy, why are the guest still here, and why am I sleeping in our basement?" Brooke asked "I just don't want anyone to bother you so I put you down here so you can be safe" I said with a fake smile and my eyes start filling with tears. I kissed her on the head and said goodnight.
