(Calypso's POV)
I stared longingly out the window of the taxi. Farmland shot passed until finally the taxi came to a stop in front of a familiar looking hill. "Half-Blood hill," I whispered to myself. Quickly I paid the driver and grabbed my bag, lugging it up the hill. When I reached the top I hesitated. How would everyone react at my arrival? Would they even allow me back? How would Leo react? Did he even still remember me? Even if he did, it wouldn't matter. There's no way on Earth he'd ever forgive me. How long had I been gone? I let out a breath and started down the hill. The deeper I got into camp the more people saw me, and the whispers started. I tried to ignore the whispers as I knocked on the Big house door. When Chiron opened the door I tried for a smile but he looked shocked. "Oh my!" He exclaimed before ushering me inside. Hesitantly I sat on the couch and explained my trip or maybe slumber would be a better word. Chiron listened but didn't say anything. Finally, after a long period of silence, he spoke. "Well as it appears you'll be staying at Camp Half-Blood. You are more than welcome to stay in any cabin of your choice, and make yourself quite at home here." I nodded and thanked Chiron before leaving. There was one place I needed to go before I figured out Cabin arrangements.Dryads whispered and watched as I approached Bunker Nine. I entered the noisy workshop. "Is Leo here?" And suddenly everything got quiet. Conversations stopped. People stared. Someone even dropped a hammer. I cleared my throat before speaking again. "Is Leo here?" I asked again. One of Leo's sisters, spoke up. "He's over in Hephaestus Cabin," she said giving me a sideways look. "Thank you," I said uneasily, before leaving the bunker.
When I finally reached Hephaestus Cabin, my heart began to race. Slowly I walked up steps, I clung to the railing to keep her steady. My knuckles turned white. Doubt filled my chest as I raised my hand to knock, but I hesitated, my hand stopping inches from the door. I took a deep breath before knocking. Thoughts rush through my head. Will he be mad? How can he be mad I had no control over anything that happened.... I heard rustling from inside the cabin and moments later the door opened revealing a boy only about an inch taller than me. The boy's mouth dropped in shock, but his eyes looked sad, they didn't have the gleam of mischief that I'd fallen in love with. I gave the boy a small smile. "Hi," I said so quietly it was almost a whisper. This seemed to bring him back to his senses. "You're back," he replied, his voice completely emotionless. I smiled my vision blurring with tears that I tried to hold back, but Leo didn't smile. Instead he looked confused. I wanted to throw my arms around him and press my lips to his but I held back. I was held back by the hurt in his eyes, the way he looked at me, as though I'd broken his heart. Which, I guess without meaning to, I did. His playful brown eyes looked broken and empty and his expression was cold. He looked shocked and weary. 'How long have I been gone?' I wonder again. The tears I'd been holding back slipped down my cheeks. "I'm so sorry," I whispered my voice cracking. At this Leo shook his head. "Can I at least explain?" I asked bitterly. Anger filled my lungs. Leo paused. "The boy who wanted that was forgotten in the airport one year ago," he said quietly before shutting the door. I gaped at the door. Tears sliding down my cheeks, as I felt something in me break.
(Third Person)
Meanwhile, Leo was sitting against the opposite side of the door, listening to her cry and regretting every word he'd said to her.
