Chapter 56: The Shack

I realised that if Raven had her eyes open and could see where she was, but ALIE still couldn't recognise it, I could open my eyes and have a look around for myself. It was a nice bedroom with a single fur bed and decorations on the walls. "Thank you" I heard Raven speak quietly to Clarke while she wrapped bandages around her slit wrists. ALIE was standing at the foot of the bed, sending signals to Raven who glared at Clarke when she wasn't looking. She would throw the odd look at me every now and then, but I would just glare at the thing in our heads. "Do you ever see their faces?" Rave asked, her face away from me so I couldn't see it, but I watched Clarke's expression, but still couldn't recognise her face.

"What?" The other blonde girl replied.

"Of all the people you've killed" Raven added, her voice sounding like Raven. But it was still ALIE's unsympathetic tone.

"Clarke, don't listen to her. She's possessed by ALIE" I told Clarke and ALIE appeared in front of me while I spoke to Clarke.

"Why would you betray me, Alex?" ALIE asked me, standing in my way of Clarke.

"She's trying to break you. She'll do it and then she'll make me do it--" I tried to say over ALIE talking and trying to make me stop.

"Why would you let yourself be taken by them when you know what is the righteous thing to--" I cut her off.

"SHUT UP! Shut up! I don't give a shit! Leave me alone!" I screamed and started losing my temper. She was always there in front of me.

"It's not ALIE, Clarke. It's Raven" I heard Raven say to Clarke, but I knew she was still lying as someone came and kneeled in front of me. It was Jasper and he was trying to calm me down. "I'm not trying to get to you I'm just trying to tell you the truth because no one else will. Wherever you go, death follows you always want to save everyone but what you don't realize is you're the one we need saving from. Wells is dead because you couldn't see Charlotte was a basket case. Finn is dead because you broke his heart and slid a knife into it. Hell, I bet you got Lexa killed too"

"Shut up" Clarke threatened, as Raven touched so many nerves.

"And then there's dear old dad" ALIE/Raven continued.

"I said shut up!" The blonde girl was about to crack as Jasper rubbed his hands over my arm and try to calm me down.

"Your mom's in here with my Clarke. She told me you tried to convince him not to go public about the fact that the Ark was dying, guess you should've tried harder! His blood is on your hands too" Raven was ruthless with ALIE. "You think we buy this selfless martyr act, but we see you for who you really are. Poison to anyone who gets close"

Clarke tried to cover Raven's mouth but Raven bite down on her arm. "You're done ALIE, you hear me? We're gonna fry you!" Clarke screamed emotionally, before Bellamy picked her up from behind and moved her to the door at the opposite end of the room. Then he and Jasper followed after her.

ALIE stepped up to the side of the bed and looked like she was calculation something of great importance. "Well done. To fry: to cook over direct heat, to destroy circuitry with excessive current" She spoke.

Raven glanced quickly around her, thinking. "They must be building the EMP, that's what I was trying to do"

"They would need an electromagnet, where would they get one?" ALIE questioned the mechanic.

"They're going to the dropship" Raven concluded.

ALIE stood up higher, giving her authority. "Then so are we" She said. I lowered my head and put it down on my knees, feeling like I should give up. ALIE took everything from me: my friends, my life, and the face belonging to someone named John Murphy. I still couldn't remember him.

After a little while of being along in a room of crazy with Raven and ALIE, Jasper and Bellamy came back into the room. Bellamy had a gun and say in the chair which was on the other side of the small table next to my chair, and Jasper found a little stool and leaned against the wall on it. ALIE was shooting signals at Raven through their minds as I watched from the side lines. They were planning something for the boys.

"Look at your--" Rave began to say with a sly expression on her face.

But I interrupted her. "That's enough, ALIE!" I snapped, clenching my fists. "Raven is tired. Just let her go" I said to the red thing in front of me.

"Raven will try to emotionally compromise them all. You must listen and gather all the information that you can" ALIE replied to me, as Jasper and Bellamy watched me, and Raven stared up at the ceiling. "Why do you help them?" She questioned.

"Because I know that they will help us" I told her, leaning forward in my chair against my restraints. "They will do the right thing to get you out of our heads"

"Do you want me out of your head? Why do you reject the painless-ness I have given you?" She asked. "If you do not submit to my program, I will shut down your mind and--"

I interrupted her. "Then do it" I told her. "Take my body and Raven control of her's"

"No, Alex. She'll make you kill yourself like she did to Raven" Jasper said, leaping off his stool to come and kneel in front of me. "Is that what you're trying to do?" He asked, a worried expression on his face.

"Don't worry, Jasper. I know what I'm doing" I said and opened my palm for him to hold my hand, before letting him go as ALIE removed herself from Raven's body and walked over to me. I watched her as she reached her hand out to me as I saw Raven's eyes close and she became limp, as through sleeping as she entered the City Of Light. ALIE touched her hand on my forehead and made my body arch as she took control of me. I closed my eyes for a second, then opened them with no control.

"Alex?" Jasper said, his eyes wide as Bellamy stood up and went over to Raven. I couldn't respond as it wasn't me in control of my body. "ALIE?" She lifted my head up at the sound of her name and smiled, confirming that it was her
