Everything went smoothly according to my plan. I was able to leave Rio De Janiro without any trouble. Catch my flight on time and here I am in my destination. At first I was planning in going to Korea since it is my mother's homeland. But I know for sure that my father will also think that way. I never express any fascination in any Asian countries before as part of my plan. It would give my father an idea that maybe I will run and hide in Australia or Russia or even in Africa but not in any Asian countries.
I arrived here 5:30 in the morning. The first thing I did is to find a place to stay in my final destination. I can always stay in the hotel but I choose not to. Eventhough I have a lot of savings, you'll never know!
I know that Manila is okay but I rather go to the farthest place in the country. According to Google, Cagayan de Oro city is a nice and urbanized place surrounded with beautiful and breathtaking scenery. This is what I need right now. I found a place that I actually love. By the looks of it, I know the owner is an interior designer (it takes one to know one). The house is quite old but the ad said it is newly renovated. I sent a message to the owner and was hoping to get her response before my flight schedule.
"Philippines Airline Flight C567 bound to Cagayan de Oro City is now ready for boarding. Passenger please proceeds to Gate 112 immediately."

I checked my email again but to my dismay the owner hasn't replied yet. Oh well I will handle it when I get there. Here I come City of Golden Friendship!

Here I am in my parent's ancestral house. With the help of Athena, nakahanap kami ng buyer sa condo unit and kotse ko. We were able to close it at 1.6 M. Kaya agad ko nang binayad ang 1.2M sa client namin na naloko ng assistant ko. Nag advance payment na din ako ng 200,000 sa isa pa naming client na mag may dude sa January 20th. So I still have 200,000 at my disposal while wala pa akong work.
The other day may possible tenant na din ako dito. He said he's a gay so di daw ako dapat mag alala. But damn it! He's a good looking lad! Why oh why! Na check ko naman sa company niya yung pagkatao niya kaya wala na din problema. He will check the place nalang and if magustuhan niya then dito na siya.
Noche Buena na mamaya but I don't feel like celebrating it. Lalabas nalang siguro ako for dinner and magsisimba mamaya.Natigil ang pag-iisip ko ng tumunog ang cellphone ko. Unregistered number.Baka si Benedict Ylagan to.
"Hello Good Morning! This is Riel Cruz."
"Hi. Good Morning. This is Alexis Lee. I sent you an email this morning before I left Manila but I think you haven't read it yet." Alexis Lee? Kakaiba ang accent niya.
"Oh I see. I haven't checked my email yet. How can I help you Alexis?"
"I saw your ad about your place. I'm actually looking for a place to stay here. The photos of your place are quite impressive I must say. Do you still have a vacant room for 1?"
"Yes. I still have 3 vacant rooms left Alexis. When are you planning to check it?"
"Well I'm at the airport right now. I could go straight to your place from here but I'm afraid I can't find it immediately. Would you mind meeting up with me in a place that is easy to locate? Like malls or restaurant near your place?" bigla akong natigilan sa sinabi niya. Is he freaking serious? Baka naman bagong modus ito ngayon.
"Look I know I'm a stranger to you but I assure you I don't mean any harm. If you could check your email, I sent you a copy of all the required documents that you need." Agad nitong sabi.
"Oh let me check my email first and I'll get back to you." I told him as I end the call. I grab my laptop and check my email.
"alexislee24@weebo.com: subject: room for rent......."
He's 24 years old and quite young. He sent a copy of his passport and even a copy of his bank statement. He is a Korean-American citizen and currently going around Asia for cultural studies. He is also major in Interior Designing! Well, why not give it a try. I dialed his number and on the 2nd ring he picked up...
"Oh thanks goodness you called back. I'm beginning to think that you don't want to do business with me" I could sense the relief in his voice.
"I will pick you up in the airport Alexis. Let me know where are you waiting and I will be there..."
"Ofcourse... I will send you a message. Thank you." He said as he ended the call.
I immediately dialed Athena's number and asked for her help. I don't have a car right now yet I volunteered to pick him up in the airport. But somehow I have a good feeling about this. What a merry Christmas!
Benny's POV

12 noon
Instead of leaving on the 28th the company asked me to leave right now. It was crazy! It's Christmas and I will be celebrating it alone in a faraway place. Grabe ang protesta ni mama sa pag-alis ko ngayon but in the end pumayag na din naman siya. Eto kami ngayon sa airport at nag dadramahan.
"Benny mag iingat ka dun ha. Huwag kang magpapagutom at tsaka mamaya mag skype tayo during Noche Buena." Umiiyak na sabi ni mama.
"Ilang beses mo ng sinabihan ang anak mo niyan. Malaki na yan at lalaki pa yan!" pambabara ni papa. Talaga naman!
"Pa, hindi tunay na lalaki si kuya. Wag mong kalimutan yan kaya hayaan mo na si mama." Nakangising sabi ng kapatid kong babae.
"Yah! Kung mag-usap kayo parang wala ako dito sa harap ninyo ah." Pagmamaktol ko. Agad naman nag peace sign ang kapatid ko.
"Oh siya pumasok kana at ng matigil na ang kadramahang ito. Nang makauwi na din kami."Ani Papa. Kahit kelan talaga si Papa, best actor!
"Oo nga. Baka mapaiyak na si Papa nito." Nakabungisngis na sabi ng kapatid ko. Agad naman itong nakatanggap ng kurot galing kay mama.
"Ikaw lang ata ang masaya sa pag alis ko ah. Nakakaduda tuloy! Sabihin mo sa boyfriend mo na pinasusubaybayan ko pa din siya!" pahayag ko sabay yakap sa kapatid ko. Nag farewell hug na din ako kina mama at papa.
