I was huddled in a corner of the single room apartment. My master sat at his desk, writing down something. He put his pencil down and looked at me. I tried to crawl backwards into the wall behind me as he walked towards me. My master grabbed my hair and pulled me across the room. Tears rolled down my face. I had lived under his command for seven years. Seven long years of torture. My body was growing tired and weak. When was this all going to end? When was someone going to save me? When was safety going to rain upon me? I have stared out of a window and seen a black figure standing on a rooftop next to me. I wanted to call out to this figure. Beg him to save me, but my master would hear me if I tried, then he would hurt me. Tomorrow is my eighth year with him. I didn't expect him to desert me in an alley. It was salvation for me.
