"If she says I gotta fix my teeth then she's so American" I sang along as I continued my long drive to London. All I need throughout this trip is the therapeutic sound of The 1975.
I just moved over to the UK from LA in America to be closer to my family, plus I've been signed to gleam for my YouTube career and decided to move out here to be near the gleam office. I'm on my way to my cousin Alex's apartment that she is so kindly letting me stay in with her.
As I'm about to pull over at a service station to use the bathroom I get a call from Alex,
(B - Becca A-Alex)
B- "hey Alex, what's up?"
A- "hey B, I was talking to my friend Zoe about you moving here and you being a YouTuber came up and she is one too and she was wandering if we wanted to go to a YouTube party tomorrow night? I'm don't know too much about it but she said you'd be able to go and bring a plus one. Plus she really wants to meet you! Does that sound good?"
B- " oh I don't know Alex, I don't know of many British YouTubers.."
A- "pleasee Becca, Zoe really wants to meet you. And it could be an opportunity to make more friends!"
B- "ok fine I will but if I want to leave we are leaving ok?"
A- "oh my god yes thank you becca!"
B- "ahahah ok I have to go now I'm not too far away from yours so I'll see you in about an hour ok?"
A- "ok bye love you"
B- "love you too"
After that I hang up the phone and quickly get out and lock my car so I can use the bathroom.

After what feels like forever I finally arrive at Alex's place.
After I've parked in the lot I pull out my phone and call Alex and let her know I'm here so she can help me bring my stuff up.
I'm scrolling through my phone as I see her waking towards my car and I practically jump out into her arms and hug her as tight as I can.
"Oh my god Alex is been too long since I've seen you" I mumble as my face is squished between her head and her shoulder.
"I know I've missed you so much B" she says back as we pull away from each other.
"As much as I would love to just chat I need help getting my shit up to your flat" I say as I open up the boot of my car and hand her a few boxes and get some for myself to haul them up to her flat.
"Alright let's get a move on"

"Oh lord my arms haven't hurt that much since I went to that gym that one time" I whined as I flopped onto the couch with an exasperated sigh.
"Well at least we're done with the boxes!" she yells from the kitchen "wanna order a take out?"
"Yea sure but as long as you pick it up" I shout back to her.
"Fine" she says as she walks back into the living room.
"Dominos?" I ask her.
"Oooh yes please I'd love a calorie fest" she replies "I want a pepperoni"
"Ok I'll order it now" I say as I pull out my phone and order our pizza online as who even calls places to order anymore?
"Ok the sites saying it'll be ready in about 10 minutes"
"Alright" she says back
"So Alex how have you been? I ask her as I put away my phone.
"Yea I've been alright, uni's been hard but I'm getting there, works been pretty good too" she replies.
"Oh that's good then, found any men that tickle your fancy?" I say whilst wiggling my eyebrows.
"Umm no not really, I uh kinda just wanna focus on uni at the moment instead of thinking about guys" she says "what about you?"
"Nah I've not really clicked with any one since Luke I guess" I say back to her looking down at my hands.
"Which one was Luke again?" She asked.
"The one I moved out to the states for remember? He had to move there to go to college and he said that if I loved him I would follow him there" I say quietly.
"Well if you love him then why did you break up?" She asked.
"He um.. he cheated on me" I mumble almost under my breath.
"Oh my god Becca I'm so sorry I had no idea" she says sitting up and leaning closer to me to hug me.
"Its ok I guess, it's in the past now and I'm feeling a lot better about it. It was a whole year ago so there's no point in beating myself up about it" I say back to her "so about that party tomorrow night"
"Yea what do you want to know?" She asks looking up at me from her phone.
"Do you know how many people are gonna be there?" I ask knowing that she knows about how my anxiety gets around loads of people but I still want to ask the question.
"Umm I'm not too sure actually, I know that my friend Zoe and her boyfriend will be there for sure and I think my friend JJ is going but other than that I honestly don't know how many other people will be there" she says and I nod back. I reassure myself that I'll be fine as I will have Alex with me and Zoe sounds nice so hopefully i won't be lonely tomorrow night.
"I think I should go grab dinner as I'm sure it's almost read, I'll be back in 10" she says as she gets up from the couch and walks towards the door. "If you need anything call me!" And with that she walked out the door.

After I had dinner and said good night to Alex I went into my shell of a bedroom to get ready to go to sleep. Out of sheer boredom I start unpacking boxes as I know I will need to anyway. I can't help but notice how bare this room is as it's just 4 white walls and a mattress on the floor as I haven't bought a proper bed frame yet. Which reminds me I need to go to my most favourite place in the world. IKEA. Why I love it so much? I will never know.
After 45 minutes of unpacking and putting clothes away I'm checking the time seeing that is half past 1 and I put on my pyjamas and get into bed before I pass out.
