A Fun Chat With A Classmate

"Well hello there, Eve." She sneered looking at me. "We're going to have so much fun talking about Cameron aren't we." I turned away from her but she still kept talking. "I bet you already knew, he dated me too so I know everything to bring him back to me." She was stabbing her desk with her fake nails.

"Um I don't want to compete with anyone to find love. I believe that if someone truly loves you they would just tell you." I mumbled aware that Nichole was still watching me.

"Well that's a shame, I was thinking we could have a little fun competition, this school's so boring." She looked forwards again as the teacher yelled at her to stop talking. I put my head in my hands and listened to the teacher not looking at Skylar or Nichole. We were given a pretest to see what we knew and it was about the government and business. I had to take an extra curricular class about this in my old school so I kinda knew how to do this. I was the first to turn my test in and the teacher smiled at me from his desk.

"So how are you liking your first day of school?" He had pearly white teeth and he smelled faintly like cologne.

"It's pretty good, I met a couple nice people," I looked at Elizabeth who looked like she wanted to snap her pencil in half. "And some not nice people." I shrugged not wanting to seem like I hated them.

"Well, I hope you like it here and don't think about the rude people." He winked as if to tell me I could count on him. I walked back to my seat as Skylar finished turning in her test.

"Hey, Nikki how do you think you did?" Skylar was smiling at me. She probably did good.

"I'm not sure, I had to take this class in my old school but I kinda knew some of it."  I responded gathering my stuff to get ready.

"That's good." She gathered her stuff up for the bell to ring.

                   Ring ring ring!!!
People started pouring out of the classroom and Skylar and I waited til most of the stampede had left. Standing beside the door is Cameron. We smiled at each other and noticing Elizabeth coming out I quickly loop my arm around Cam's. At first he's shocked but after a second he loops his arm tighter a big goofy grin spreading. I didn't have to turn around to know Elizabeth was glaring at our arms.

"So how was your day?" Cameron whispered in my ear when we reached our lockers. Even though I barely knew him his action still sent shivers down my spine.

"It was pretty good, how about you?" He started to pull away but I turned around. Now instead of me facing the opposite direction we were standing there in the hallway with just inches between us.

Cameron smiled. "It was kind of boring, I had no one to talk to during class." He whispered again. He pulled away from me and winked. "I'll look forwards to seeing you tomorrow at school." He then turned heel and walked away and I noticed that it was because David had been just a couple feet away and if we had made out he or anything like that he would've seen us.

Emphasis on the "if" I thought. I quickly closed my locker and I was about to leave when I heard a yell and the sound of a body being slammed against the lockers. A muffled yell came from the gym lockers. It kinda sounded like Cameron yelling "DON'T EVER SAY THAT AGAIN. IT'S NOT TRUE I CAN CHANGE."

What was that about?! I thought and like my suspicion confirmed it was Cameron.
