* Few weeks later*
The sun didn't come up yet. I was up but i was sitting on my bed, staring blankly at the wall. I was thinking.
In fact it wasn't close to coming up yet. 8:00 was when we were leaving and it was exactly 4:25. Everything was ready and packed and I think I packed about every food that was in the house.
Except for the raisin bread, i hate raisin bread.
I pushed my bag to the side after i was sure that everything was ready for the trip. I tip-toed out of my room to go downstairs. I didn't want to wake up earlier than they planned to.
I grabbed Lulu's halter and went out of the house and found Lulu sleeping in the backyard . She filled up the whole backyard because of her size. I sighed. Now it's time for the hard part...... Saying bye to Lulu.
I pet her from her head down to her neck to gently wake her up. She lifted her head up a bit and looked at me with her tired eyes.
I pet her repeatedly in the silence of the early morning in Zectrom. All you can hear were the little critters that lurked in the bushes and never dared to crawl out.
I hugger her tightly with my arms around her neck. "Lulu, I'm leaving....bye" I whispered.
She didn't really understand most words. She only understood,Hi, bye, and most words i used when racing and training.
When I always said bye, she always expected me to be back in a few hours, but little did she know that I wouldn't be back for a couple of months maybe even a year.
I pet her scaly skin and put on her halter.
I jumped on her and we flew up to the sky. We flew fast and practiced more training. We flew our best and flew for about two hours.
Finally, my belly started to growl and I decided that that was enough flying. She landed and surprisingly quickly went to sleep.
I took off her halter and went back inside. My mother and father was finally awake.
My mom had a table full of food, from one end of the table to the other end. It made my eyes widen and my mouth water.
"Hi mom, hi dad" I said. They were still very sleepy and pretty sluggish. My mother ran to me and gave me a hug.
She had on her big grey robe on so it was a very comfy hug. My dad followed and also gave me a very big hug. I felt so sad that I going to leave my parents for so long.
I sat down at the table and stuffed my face and ate nearly half of the food on the table. After relaxing and my mom and dad lecturing me about the do's and dont's when I go to earth, The was a huge royal blow from the trumpet.
That meant that the carriage was there to take us to the space ship that will take us to earth. They gave us an extra fifteen minutes to say our final good byes and grab our luggage.
My mom's eyes instantly began to water and my dad had on his scared face. I had no expression on my face.
I didn't know whether to be happy because I will do something I love and go on an adventure or be sad because I will leave my parents, Lulu, and friends behind So, I expressed nothing.
I grabbed my luggage and went outside. There was a huge carriage and a lot of people surrounded it to watch their loved ones leave.
I gave my bag to one of the knights and they put it in the trunk.
I saw gabriel and ran to him. "I'm still mad at you....but need you to do a favor for me" I said. "What is it?" he asked. "I need you to feed Lulu everyday, train her, and have her practice races while I am gone" I said handing him a huge bag of food that could last a year.
I needed him to do it. My mom was too scared to even go near Lulu and my dad was too busy to attend to her needs.
"To train you mean I have to ride her?" he asked. "Yeah, if you're not scared?" I said mocking him. "No...but what if she doesn't like me" he asked holding the objects.
"She'll eventually grow onto you" I said smiling because I knew he was scared. "Oh,I almost forgot" he pulled a big bag from the floor and handed it to me.
"What's this?" I asked confused. "You said you needed to stock, here is some goods from my shop,it'll last a while" he said handing it to me smiled.
I smiled and took it. I already had a ton of food in my bag but, oh well, I took it anyways. He hugged me and said bye. "Bye,see you later alligator" I said and walked back to my parents. They hugged me once again but this time way longer.
I cried. I barely cried unless it was for my loved ones. I went to Lulu and hugged her. I cried more. She had no clue what was going on.
She had no idea why I was crying. I was going to miss her so much. Delila, from the carriage called me.
"Kali! Cone on we are going to be late" she yelled out.
I quickly wiped my tears and ran to the carriage and went in. I waved to my parents one last time. The knights closed the door and the carriage took off.
I couldn't believe that this was it, I, Kali, was going to earth! The carriage was huge and many kids were in there. Everyone was quiet except for Delila and I.
We were the loudest in there talking up a storm. In an hour or so we were at the space ship. It was huge. Bigger than my house I believe.
Everyone got off as the knights escorted us in. The space ship had many windows and many rooms for us to stay in during the trip.
One of the knights paired up the roommates and Delila and I argued for us to be put together. We walked into our rooms and looked around for a while.
The room was exceptionally clean. The walls were white and it had a white tile floor that looked like it was already mopped and shined. There was a two little beds by the windows.
One across from each other in the room. The room had a desk with a chair that had wheels on it. It had one bookshelf with a few books in it. It had a mini-fridge and a small rug in the middle of the room.
It was a pretty great place. Suddenly we heard a loud buzzer. We heard a stern, manly voice.
