"Glimmer do you have my makeup" I ask/shout
"Yes" she answers
My date with Peeta was last night and today is the football game. He plays quarterback and I cheer. We're playing the district one diamonds. We're the Football team is the tracker jackers and the cheer team is the mockingjays. I hope we do well it's the semifinals. I put my cheer outfit on. It's a gold crop top with M.J for our team name and a gold scort(a skirt with shorts underneath) black trim. I put my hair up into a pony tail, curl the ends and put my bow in, and you guessed it, it's gold with black diamonds. I put lipgloss on and grab my water bottle.
"Come on glim" I say
"Ok I'm ready" she says
We get to the oval at school and meet the coach.
"Ok girls semifinals let's do this" She gives us a pep talk
Annie POV (surprise)
We're sitting waiting for the game to start. I can't wait.
"Hey Jo wanna chip" I ask her
"Oh my god how do you like salt and vinegar chips" she asks and throws some in front of us it hits a girl in the head.
"Who threw that" Delly demands
"I can't believe you hit Delly in the head" I whisper to jo
"She had it coming" she whispers back
"She sure did" I say
"Look they're having a cheer off let's help" I say. All the stand is cheering at the top of their lungs.
Katniss POV
We sit and get ready for our cheers. I'm a flyer so I warm up. All the boys except for marvel are in the team. Suddenly I here a scream and Delly demanding to know who threw something. I look at Annie and lock eyes with her. I raise my shoulders as if to ask what. She winks and I know she'll tell me later. All I know is that her and Jo have something to do with it.
"Let's do this" glim tells us when we're in a circle.
"1,2,3 Mockingjays" we all yell and start our cheers.
We're in the middle of a giant cheer off with the other team when marvel's voice comes on the speakers. "Here come the boys, introducing the district one diamonds" when the other team is screaming I shoot marvel a look that says really? All of us are in another huddle.
"We have to scream louder than them" a girl named Milly tells us
"Yes Kat I had to introduce them now" he tells me I roll my eyes
"And the Mockingjay high tracker jackers" we scream and scream.
The game starts and the score is 15-13 by quarter time us winning. By half time it's 30-32 them winning. The siren sounds for half time when someone stays in the middle of the field. It's number 46. Peeta's number. Someone hands him a microphone.
"Katniss Everdeen will you walk to the centre field please" marvel asks. I shoot him a glare.
I follow through. When I do I see Peeta. He turns the microphone on and says.
"Katniss I have loved you ever sense we were five and you sang in the music assembly. The teacher said who knows the valley song and your hand shot straight up. You stood up, your hair was in two braids instead of one and you were wearing a red plaid dress. When you sang I swear all the birds outside the window fell silent and I knew I was a goner. For the next 12 years I tried to work out how to tell you that I loved you, with no success. I left you for four years and one week. I broke my promise to come back. But after all that time my feelings never went away. And I finally came back. We had our first date last night at the beach. I was so close to kissing you then Joanna texted you. Thanks Joanna. Finnick was the only one that knew. So what I'm trying to say is Katniss Everdeen will you be my girlfriend?"
I'm stunned.
"Yes. Yes Peeta I will be your girlfriend." I say. The whole stadium erupts into applause. Of course Delly gets really mad. Finnick looks at marvel. Oh no.
"There's only one thing left to do" he says and all our friends shout
"KISS THE GIRL" and it starts playing over the loud speakers. Peeta grabs my face in his hands, mine go around his neck. He puts his hands on my waist and his lips crash into mine. It's passionate, romantic and I feel fireworks. Thousands and thousands of fire works. It feels so right. I can't believe he has loved me for this long. He holds my waist pulling me closer. I feel his tongue against my bottom lip. I grant entrance. I love him more than anything is the world. Peeta is mine and I am his, nothing will change that. The cheers in the stand are still going when we stop.
"You love me real or not real" he asks
"Real more than words can say real. Peeta your my world" I tell him
"Everybody mockingjay high's newest couple. Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark!" Marvel says
"Go out and win this thing" I tell him
"Go out and cheer for us" he says back
We run off the field hand in hand. Glimmer runs up to me as well as Clove who's in the cheer team and Annie and Jo made their way to me.
"Oh my god Kat" Annie squeals
"Did you have any idea he was going to do that" Clove asks
"Not a clue" I say
"Kat you have a boyfriend, and it's Peeta Mellark most popular guy in school" glimmer squeals
"Peeta watch out you break my sisters heart there will be consequences" Finnick says to Peeta
"Don't worry fish boy" I tell him and Peeta on the cheek. Finnick goes back to squealing like one of the girls.
The siren goes saying in time to start three quarter time. The boys go back to the field.
"Go get 'em tiger" I say to Peeta and give him a quick kiss
"Well well well if it isn't Katniss" a voice say behind me
"Delly I thought you ran away" I say
"Peeta's mine stay away Everdeen" Delly hisses in my face. Ok she's changed. She's wearing slutyer clothes and is all over people. I think in a week she's slept with five guys. It's so gross.
"Oh really because he's Kats boyfriend" Annie says from behind me
"Go away Delly" Clove says
"Leave your not allowed here only the cheer squad is" glimmer says
"This isn't over" Delly yells
"Bye hon" I call after her
"Glimmer we should go and start cheering" I say
"Yeah" she agrees
We start to cheer we've reached our peek for three quarter time. We're tied 49-49. The cheer squad goes to the centre of the field for the three quarter time cheer again the other team.
"Tracker jackers are you ready to rumble" we shout
"Diamonds are you ready to crumble" our supporters scream with us
We start and get to the section of the dance where I do my flying. I feel glimmer grip my foot and she gives me a nod I look and Annie and Clove they give the thumbs up and finally Peeta. He's smiling. I ready for this. I get lifted up and I grab my free foot in leg mount, I bend my knee and jump as my base throw me up. I jump and touch my toes in a straddle and land back in my base. The throw me up again and front flip in front of them and in the splits. Everyone goes nuts. Beat that! I think. We do a few jumps then I need to land my aerial back handspring. I clench my fists and starts to run, I hurdle, jump and I can see the ground beneath me, I feel like I'm flying. Everything moves is slow motion. I come land it and jump straight off and do my back handspring, perfect. At the end of the cheer we scream.
"Thank you Mockingjays and district one" we scream
We come off and I'm breathless. I walk up and grab my water bottle.
"Kat you did great" people tell me
"Sleepover at my place" Finnick Yells
"Cool I'll text Jo and Annie in the stands" I tell him
Group: Annie, Finnick, Clove, Cato, glimmer, marvel, Peeta, Jo
Me:hey Finnick called a sleepover after this and is screaming like a girl it's hilarious. U in?

The siren goes and it's four quarter time and we're down by two. The coach gloss calls a time out. They're in a huddle talking strategy. Like us they go 1,2,3 fracker jackers.
We have 1 minute the scores haven't changed. When they make a move. Finnick gets the ball and runs to our goal, we're cheering like crazy. He passes it to Cato who runs about 100 meters. The other team is closing in with 50 left. He passes it to Peeta. This is good, he's a fast runner. He ran the 50 meters in 35 seconds a school record. He runs past number four who tries to tackle him and fails. We scream. 15 seconds he can't be more then half way, 10 almost 5 everyone is screaming come on Peeta. 3 we all hold a collective breath. He's so close. 2. Come on Peeta I know you can do it. He crosses the line and the siren goes. He gets a new school record 50 meters in 25 seconds. We win by one. We're in the grand final. All the cheerleaders run onto the field. I find Peeta. He picks me up and spins me around by the waist. When he puts me down drops his helmet and kisses me. It's long and sweet, and I'm unaware that the school has stopped and has watched us share another kiss. They cheer. All our friends have gathered around us too.
"I love you Peeta Mellark" I whisper
"I love you too Katniss Everdeen" he whispers back
Everything has died down and it's only Peeta, myself, Finnick and Cato left. They walk out of the change room still in their football uniform but without all the padding.
"Hey" I say to Peeta and kiss him through the bars of his helmet
"Get a room guys" Cato scoffs
"When are you going to ask Clove out" I ask him
"You like her and it's obvious" I tell him
"I do not" he says
"She likes you back" I tell him
"Really'' he asks
"Yeah but you said that you didn't like her so..." I tail off
"Maybe I do like her" he admits
"I knew it" I say
"We gotta go" Finnick says
"Ok we'll meet up with u at finnick's" Peeta tells them
