Ji-yong was awed by Yoona's studio. Although it was not big, the space was utilized well. It looked cosy instead of being stuffy. Yoongyu picked up the acoustic guitar then he sat down and tuned it. "Here, you sit down Ji-yong-hyung!" he said while still tuning the guitar with a pick in his mouth.
Ji-yong smiled in relief and amusement. He was glad that he wouldn't look like a loser today because he really thought that they'd play video games. Ji-yong leaned casually against the couch opposite Yoongyu and asked, "When did you start playing?" he smiled at the younger man.
"Hmm, when I was about 9 or 10, Yoona-noona started playing first and we got competitive so all of us know how to play various instruments..." Yoongyu replied. Ji-yong was even more impressed. He didn't know that Yoona was musically inclined so he was even more curious to get to know about her. 'I wonder what her singing voice sounds like?' he thought, excited.
"Hyung?!" Yoongyu was looking strangely at him. "Oh I'm sorry...what was it again?" he asked, a bit embarrassed. Yoongyu laughed, "Uhm – I asked if you wanted to play too?" "Sure!" Ji-yong replied as he stood to go to where the keyboard was. They jammed to different rock classics when the door opened and Yoona stuck her head in, "Anyone wants coffee?" she asked.
Yoongyu smiled and stood, "Yeah – no thanks. I'll go get some water...be right back!" he rushed out of the studio which made Yoona laugh. "What's wrong with him?" she asked. Ji-yong smiled and stared at her beautiful face made even more beautiful by the studio's lighting.
"Coffee?" he reminded her when she froze for a moment. "Ah yes! Right!" she finally went in and closed the door gently and proceeded to give him the coffee.
Ji-yong thanked her and said, "Yoongyu said you also play?"
Yoona laughed, "Yes – it started out as a hobby. A friend from high school encouraged me to try and I realized that it was fun and easy for me so I took it up and I learned to play some other instruments along the way..." she replied.
"What else do you play?" Ji-yong asked, intrigued.
"Hmm, I play the piano too but I'm only an average piano player all I can do is read notes – I wish I could play by ear – like my friend..." she said. Ji-yong laughed. "What? What's funny?" Yoona asked. "Nothing – it's just I guess it's normal for people to wish for things that they don't have but playing the piano is a talent that many would want to have..." he said.
Yoona grimaced but agreed with him, "Yeah you're right, sorry..." she said.
Ji-yong smiled, patted the seat and motioned for Yoona to sit beside him on the keyboard.
Yoona sat beside him. "This song is coming out for our anniversary album and I haven't shared it with anyone else...so you tell me what you think about it, okay?" he said with a smile on his face.
'Ohgod, no!!' Yoona thought. 'I'm the first person to hear the song?! Ohmigod!!!!' she thought but her calm demeanor and neutral face didn't betray any of the feelings that were bubbling inside. 'G-Dragon, why do you do this???' she bit her lip as he played the first notes of his song.
