Rae and I walk back towards the house in the pouring rain, she rests against my chest slightly as we walk. "Zaan?" She asks. I look down at her. "Hmm?" She looks up to me, her blue eyes shining in the rain. "I'm weak." She whispers. I take her by the arms and back up to look at her. "No you're not." She shakes her head. "I am. I know I am, you don't have to try and tell me I'm strong." I laugh. "Rae, you're one of the strongest girls I know." She sniffles. A sad smile pulling at her lips. Her eyes then go huge in horror. "What's-" Someone punches me in the side of the head, causing me to go off balance. "No!" Rae cries, she punches the man. Another set of hands wrap around my mouth and throat. I couldn't breathe and couldn't fight. "Stop! Don't hurt him!" Rae begs. A man comes up to her and with one hand grabs her wrists, she tries to fight the hands off her, but with his other hand he smacks  her -hard- she falls to the muddy ground, anger flows through me, then darkness takes over.

~Rae's POV~

I lift my head from the muddy ground. My ear was ringing from the hard hard slap. I look over to the men holding Zaan's limp body. My heart skips a beat. No, he is just unconscious. I tell myself. Anger flares through me as I force myself to stand. The men look over to me, but they kept walking, dragging Zaan across the muddy ground. I stagger over to the men, but one of them punchs me and I fall over. My vision goes blurry and within a matter of seconds I don't see the men or Zaan.

The rain hits my face softly. I groan and open my eyes. I was in the same place that I was before I was knocked out. I sat up, looking for the men and Zaan, to only find nothing. I'm weak. I know I am, but Zaan thinks otherwise. I curl up in a ball and cry for what seems like hours before I see a figure walk towards me. "Rae?" Edith was suddenly at my side, she lifts me up and examines my face. "Where's Zaan?" I look over her shoulder. "They took him." I whisper. "Who?" She demands. I shrug. "Why didn't they take you?" Another shrug. "Why would they only take him?" Another shrug. Memories flood through me. The man that had grabbed my wrists and smacked me. I knew him. I gasp and look up at Edith. "The General. He wants to get back at me for leaving."
