Alice's POV
Even though James and I said the big L word, I still was having mixed feelings about what happened yesterday. I felt so bad that James and Albus fought. As I was walking to the train platform, I felt guilty. I was leaving Hogwarts in my muggle clothes that I loved, a soft red sweater and skinny jeans. Along with my favorite black ankle boots. Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons because of the comfy style of clothes I got to wear. I saw Lily who was also sporting jeans and I waved. She waved and waited for me to catch up.
"Hey Alice!" She said sweetly.
"Hi Lily. How's it going?"
"Good. You ready to go home?"
"Yes and no. I love being here at Hogwarts."
"Who doesn't." Lily said with a laugh.
I laughed, but things still felt weird. We waited for more students to arrive before they started letting us on the train. James mentioned he'd save a spot for me, but It seems I arrived before he did. Looks like I'd do the seat saving. Lily and I check in our trunks and head on the train.
"Upper, Middle, or end?" Lily asked.
"Middle,is always good. But I'm fine with whatever."
"James like upper. So lets go there. That way he'd be able to find you." Lily said these and started walking to the first couple of cars on the train.
After passing what seemed like 20 compartments, we stopped.
"Perfect." said Lily.
I nodded and sat down.
A moment later, Albus Potter, Hugo, Roxanne, Molly, Lucy, and even Louis Weasley Joined us. This compartment felt full, but there was still plenty of room.
"Hey Albus." I said shyly. He looked up at me but didn't say anything.
"Look, I'm sorry about yesterday. I didn't--"
"You didn't do anything. Don't worry about it."
He stood up and left and as he was leaving,James walked in. I almost expected James to jinx him or something but thankfully he didn't.
"Hey beautiful." He said as he sat next to me.
"Hi." I blushed.
"You are so cute. I swear."
"Thank you." I leaned towards him and he put an arm around me so we could kiss.
"If you guys do that the whole way back, you better go find an empty cart to do so or join in the Hufflepuffs because they do that and worse on the way back. They always clean out the trolley lady with their munchies." said Roxanne.
Our kiss ended short and James said, "Okay, we wont, the whole way back."
I laughed and shook my head.
Rose's POV
Scorpius and I had Head boy and Head girl meetings to discuss, how good or bad the year was going, and then we planned on finding a compartment together. Walking hand and in hand, we started looking for one, that was either empty or almost empty. If all else fails we'd head to, what was know as the Potter-Weasley compartment near the front. Which also just so happens to be charmed to expand to a comfortable size,to fit everyone in it.
I quite frankly didn't want to be around Hugo. Ever since Scorpius and I went public, he either says something rude, or won't say anything at all. And I didn't want to deal with him.
"Rose, most everywhere is full,We should head to where your family is." he said as we stopped looking.
I sighed," Okay. You remember which one it is?"
"Yeah. I do." He gives me a quick hug before we continue walking.
Once at the compartment, we enter and are greeted with smiles and hellos.
"There you guys are! I was wondering if you were going to join us." Lily said. "But you guys better not make out or anything, we already have those love birds over there." she continued and pointed at James and Alice who were being very cuddly.
"I can't make any promises." Scorpius said as he wrapped an arm around my waist and we walled further in and sat across James and Alice.
"Hey guys." James said.
Alice smiled and said, "How was your meeting?"
"Same old same old, just wanting ideas on how we can better the school." I replied.
"Oh. I bet that's could be interesting."
"Sure. But repetitive." I say with a small laugh.
"So are you guys looking forward to the big family dinner?" Alice asks.
"The food and the company, yes That will be nice. But I'm worried about how they will react to, us." I gestured between Scorpius and I.
"Oh right, That will be interesting." Alice said.
James laughs and smiles, "Yeah I can't wait to see how Uncle Ron will react."
Scorpius also laughed but it was more nervous laugh. His hand in Rose's tensed up as he said, "I just hope there isn't such a big fuss about us. I just hope it goes better then all the crazy things I've thought of."
We all nodded and agreed to that. I was kinda worried too about that dinner. I've been to them in the past, but now I'm dating James. I know that our situation isn't that bad, but I just fear that something could go wrong.
The rest of the train ride is pretty normal, we buy sweets from the trolley lady, we laugh at the flavor's of beans that we all eat and I even snuggle into James and enjoy being in his arms. We won't see each other until the night of the friends and family dinner.
As the train comes to a stop, Lily sighs, "I'm not ready for the crowds."
James puts a hand on her shoulder and gives it a light squeeze. "It shouldn't be too bad. If anything mum will be in hurry, and there is always a chance dad didn't come."
"As if." Lily says as we step off the train. Then she looks up at James and rolls her eyes. People were already starting to stare. Even after all these years people are still starting at Harry Potter.
Harry and his wife Ginny, are standing hand in hand waiting for their three children. As we start making our way to them, Ginny smiles widely and waves at us. My heart race picks up and James's hands tightens on mine and I take a deep breath.
"Hello! It's so great to see you!" Ginny pulls her daughter and mini me in a tight hug.
"I've missed my little girl!" Ginny says.
"I've missed you too mum." Lily says and she hugs her mother back.
Harry also grins at the sight of us. His eyebrows raise as he notices me and James, but hugs Lily before saying anything.
"Oh James. My baby boy." Ginny says as she pulls him in for a hug.
My hand drops from his so he can hug her back.
