Part 8

'Two days later'

"hello South Dakota!" I say to my self while everyone is asleep in the car. I look at Jade who is asleep and grab her knee then I check in the rear view mirror and see that the dragons are still following us. I grab the steering wheel with both hands. "Where are we?" I hear Artemis asks sleepily. "Good'ol South Dakota." I answer her with a slight bit of enthusiasm. "Oh for that job? Where we have to kill what ever it is?" "Yes Artemis this is for the job about killing the vamps, and the mammoth." I tell her with a slight cold voice. We eventually make into a small town which happens to have a motel. I pull into the parking lot and see the dragons go into the woods behind the motel. I park the stolen car and gets out to get our room. I walk over the room and unlock it. I scope out the room and then call Jade who is still asleep. "Morning sorry to wake you but were ready." I tell her. "Okay I'll tell them to you know." She says sleepily with a yawn. I walk out the car and grab mine, and of course Jade's stuff. I go back in side and set up the room and I of course take a bed. I sit on it getting all cozy as everyone walks into the room half asleep. "Well I call this bed." I say smirking. "Well i get the other bed." Artemis says as she jumps on to it. "I'll get the couch." Daniel and John say at the same time. "NO I GET IT!" They say in sync again. "Just do rock, paper, and scissors." Artemis tells them as a joke but they do it. "ROCK...PAPER...SCISSORS...SHOOT!" John and Daniel say but john gets the bed since he did paper and Daniel did rock. "I never wanted the couch any way." Daniel exclaims. Jade then hops onto my bed and leans on me. "I'm okay with this." I tell her.

"So who's getting groceries?" I ask and look at Daniel as if I want him to. Which I do. "I guess I'll do it." Daniel says with a sigh. With in a few minutes of Daniel leaving to get the groceries Artemis and John are gone. The both of them. I look around the room and out side both in front of the motel and in the back. I see that the bathroom is closed with the lights on and I knock on the door. I get no answer. I see that the door isn't locked and I open the door to see where the two have gone. I catch them making out on the sink. "What in the world is going on here?" I say with a smirk. They immediately stop and act like nothing was happening. "Oh...uh...nothing? Um.. why?" Artemis says as if nothing really happened. "PHHHH I caught you two kissing and in the bathroom. How romantic." I say laughing and mocking them. "Wow shut up Arthur." John says laughing along with me. "Well I'll leave you love birds alone." I say as I dim the lights of the bathroom. I close the door and walk to Jade and then hug her. "You're the best" She says right be fore she kisses me.

"Thank you again sir." Jade says to the man she's on the phone with. "The vamps are in Deadwood a good fifteen minutes out of Pigeon." Jade informs us from the table in the motel room. "Then we go tonight. Or now if needed." Daniel says. "Tonight." I announce.
'10 hours later'
We all get ready for the battle that is about to begin. I grab my Grey hoodie and then throw on my black leather jacket. I put on my navy blue skinny jeans and my all black high top converse. Jade stays in her blue skinny jeans and maroon hooide. "I'm ready!" John says walking out if the bathroom
