I awoke in the same room I was in before. It was empty now, and I allowed myself to take a look around the room. I hadn’t really gotten a chance to exactly survey and study how the room looked, considering what was going on. Turning my head, I noticed that it was an average sized room.
It was a bit odd, as the room was circular. I’d never been in a circular room before. It was also completely made out of stone; well, more like stone bricks. Kind of like a medieval room. There wasn’t any furniture in the room besides a single metal chair; the same metal chair Mason had been sitting it.
I looked down, disgusted by the sight of the dirty and bloodied floor. I shuddered. Was it just me, or did it look like there was way too much blood for there only to have been one person in here? Did that...did that mean that there had been other people tortured in here too?
A door that I had not noticed before suddenly creaked open, and I turned to it, gasping. My hand flew to my chest, my heart beating fast as I awaited the person’s arrival. Was it Ella again? Was she going to torture me too?
“Sorry for bringing you here. It was the first place I thought of.” I heard a male voice say. I stared, shocked, as an unfamiliar handsome man walked into the room. His clothes were dirty, and his hair was uncombed. He smiled at me, before continuing to talk. “I suppose that’s probably because of the tragedies that have occurred here. Ghosts are attracted to dark places such as this,” he seemed to be lost in thought as he rubbed his chin with his hand.
“Does that mean you’re a ghost?” I said, the only think I could think of in my shock. He smiled at me, but it didn’t reach his eyes.
“Yes, Serenity.” He said.
“How do you know my name?” I asked him.
“I know a lot of things.” He simply stated, not bothering to elaborate. “So I bet you’re wondering why I brought you here, right?” He asked. I nodded slightly. “Well, I guess it’s storytime. Take a seat,” he said, gesturing to the single chair. I just stared at him. Did he really expect me to sit in the chair where I had just seen Mason get tortured in?
“Alright, that’s fine.” He stated, shrugging like he didn’t care. “I’ll sit, then.” He said, and I watched horrified as he sat down on the seat. Didn’t he know what had happened there? It was like...a demon chair or something. Yeesh. He saw my face and winked. “Trust me, when you become dead, you don’t really care about stuff like that anymore.” He said, sighing, the smile disappearing.
“Okay, well, here we go. I’ll start off from the beginning, okay? You’ve heard of fallen angels, yes? Demons, so they call them?” I nodded. “Well, that’s where this story started off from. Once upon a time there was this angel who took a visit down to Earth, under orders from the big man himself. No one knows what she was sent to do, all they know that when she was down there she got tempted.
“There was a man down there, and long story short they fell in love, against God’s orders. One night, the angel was so tempted that she couldn’t control herself any longer; and I guess you can assume what happened next. God, of course, got angry that one of his angels had defiled herself in such a way. He banned her from Heaven, forcing her to stay on Earth. She found out a little while later that she was pregnant. How an angel can get pregnant, don’t ask me, but that’s what happened. She had her child, a beautiful baby girl, when she found out the man she had fallen in love with had ran away, terrified of commitment. Lame, right? Yeah, I know. Anyways, so the angel, heartbroken and left without anyone except her child, became depressed.
“That’s when she realized what her child was. Half human, half fallen angel. And by fallen angel, I mean demon. The mother was so disgusted with the baby, once she figured out how evil the baby really was. Though the mother was also considered a demon, she had never once shown signs of evil. She was still pure, other than the fact that, well...you know. She had sex with some guy.
