"Wait, so this guy just calls you and says nothing but your name in a mister frankenstien reference way?"
I let out a sigh. "Yes."
Adrasteia and I were heading to the movie theatres this fine, not so bright, Sunday morning. Normally, I'm not the kind to wake up in the mornings on Sundays but this was about Frozen. The ultimate movie that I had been dying to watch since it released! When Adrasteia texted me last night, I didn't question it a bit.
It had been months since that call. Partly, I had forgotten all about it but partly, I was still stuck on that street. Who was that guy on the other end of the call?
"Freaky dude much?" Adrasteia continues.
"Ads, it's been a long time since that stupid call. Now, can we please forget about it and move on with our movie?"
"Argh, fine, fine. But we're not done with this okay?"
I didn't reply. I was somehow lost in my own thoughts. Ever since high school started, it's been crazy for me. Unknown calls, bumping into Calvin, memories have flashed back; bad ones, really bad ones, and it's just getting out of hand. I thought high school would come off with a nice start. Nonetheless, it was totally opposite of what I had imagined it to be.
After the movie was finished, Adrasteia and I decided to take the bus to Adrasteia's house. I was not in the mood to even enter my room. I was tired but I still enjoyed the movie! It was as awesome, as it could be. Wait no, awesome cannot even describe the awesomeness of awesomeness that was in that awesome movie! May this world be frozen one day; yes, so I could go find that bitch who called me that day.
Yes, it wasn't gonna leave my brain was it. That thought? It was planning on staying inside my tiny-ass brain.
We had just entered Adrasteia's room that I noticed how clean her room was.
"Okay, is it just me or this place actually looks antique?"
"Shut up! I guess I sort of got the itch to clean up this garage. Meh, who gives?"
I laughed. "I do, bro! Everytime I come in here, it's a freaking mess. Sometimes, your room reminds me of that plastic paper thing sale at my grandma's house. Remember?"
"Oh god! Please do not remind me of that bullshit! Oh, what the hell was life back then eh?"
"Ha. Now your room looks like a total antique booth. Whatsoever."
"I'm hungry. Want some food?" Adrasteia asked walking out her room.
"Yes please! Anything will do! Just don't get me any of those rotton bananas I saw on the way coming in!" I yelled so she could hear me due to the fact that she didn't stop and ask me. Typical Ads.
Ming ming ming. Ming ming ming.
My cellphone. That was my texting tone. Who could possibly be texting me? The only resources I actually use are Facebook and I usually talk to my friends on there.
I dig into my handbag for a hard.... iPhone. I slid to unlock it, tapped in my password and almost dropped my phone on Adrasteia's dresser.
"Miss me?"
I froze to that. Ming ming ming.
Another text?
"I know you did."
What the hell was going on. Was this the same guy who had called me 2 months ago?
"Adrasteia seems to be having fun watching those popcorns pop."
Oh my god. How did he even --- Okay, no time for questioning myself.
"ADRASTEIA! ADS!" I shrieked instead of walking to the kitchen myself.
Adrasteia came running into the room.
"GOD, YOU SCARED ME. What the hell? You sound like you just saw a dead body! Where is it?"
"Where's what?" I questioned not realizing how stupid I sounded.
"THE DEAD BODY, YOU IDIOT!"
"There's no dead body!" How was I to explain this?
I took a deep breath. Waited until my heart beat slowed down and started talking.
"Okay, so while you were in the kitchen, I got this ---"
"WAIT! Let me go get our popcorn first!" she got up running.
I showed Adrasteia the text messages I had gotten.
Right then, pieces of glass exploded from beside Adrasteia's bed.
We slowly walked over to the window and drew the curtains aside.
Exactly in front of us was the window cracked into the shape of the letter 'S' designed as a snake. Outside of that window. as we stared through the transparent glass, was a bloodshot Raven with it's feathers cemented in-between the cracks of the glass.
And that's when I got another text.
"Shouldn't have told her. Kisses, xx"
