In a kingdom far far away a princess lived in a castle. On this certain day was the princess' birthday and almost everybody in the kingdom came to the castle to give the princess a gift. But almost every single gift was denied. With remarks such as " This doesn't suit me, just give it to your wife.", " I already have plenty of jewelries, maybe give this to your mom instead." or " Your sons and daughters would like this better than i do.".

The gift giving was finally over and everybody to the banquet hall and had dinner there, there was a buffet table and musicians playing all of the princess' favorite songs.

The Royal White Knight who was always beside the princess decided to roam around the room  and check how everyone is doing, and as he was doing so he heard a few murmurings about the his fiancée, the princess. So he approached them and said "Good evening, gentlemen. May I ask why you speak so harshly about the princess?".

In which the kind gentlemen replied to with "She is a self conceited brat who only thinks about herself.".

With this reply the knight laughs. "My oh my, that is where i must say you are incredibly mistaken. If only you would notice all her hard works for this kingdom then you wouldn't even be thinking that. The princess is a very very shy person and to get over that shyness the first thing she does is to do the opposite of what she wants to do. But believe me the princess does a lot for this kingdom ever since the late king, her father died. The contents of what she says seems negative but if you look at the positive side it actually means well. She said that she didn't want it and that you should give it to your wife instead, what she meant by that is that she does like it and appreciates it but she thinks your wife deserves it more than she does. The princess is a kind one and it takes a lot of effort to keep this land safe and happy and that is exactly what she is doing. It would be nice if her efforts were recognised. Excuse me, i shall go fetch the princess from her room."

What the knight didn't notice was that as he was speaking 2/3's of the room's attendees had paid attention to him and are now on the verge of tears.

A few minutes later the princess and the knight emerges from the door and everybody greets the princess a happy birthday, some with tears in their eyes and some has dried tear tracks on their cheeks. The princess bashfully replies to all the greeting with a small smile on her face.
