What makes you beautiful on Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day came, so did the concert we had been looking forward for. I spent a lot of time in the afternoon trying on clothes and hair styles, until I finally decided to wear a red t-shirt, jeans, sneakers, a hairband and I put a little make up. I was frustrated because I wasn't satisfied with all I had tried on, that made me mad and anxious. But above all, I was dying to go to the concert. I couldn't miss that chance not for all the tea in China.

I looked at the Valentine's Day card that I had made for Harry a few days ago, where I was expressing my feelings for him. 'Hope he likes it,' I thought.

"I know he will like it," my mom seemed to read my mind.

"Hope so," I smiled, putting it in my purse.

The concert would be in the Teatro Jaime Arias at around 8 p.m. Anxious, Daniela and I arrived there one hour earlier, thinking we were going to be the first ones who were going to get there, but we were wrong: there was an endless queue to get in. We saw Elisa, Leonor and Sally in the cafeteria of the theater.

"So glad we have these VIP tickets!" Leonor smiled. "Moreover, as we will be in the first row, we won't even miss neither a movement or a note from them."

"Yes, we surely will be able to make eye contact with them... With Harry!!! How cool!" II said, excitedly.

"Annie, you look so pretty!" Sally commented. "Red suits you so well!"

"Thank you," I replied comforted, "you have no idea of how long took me to pick these clothes."

When the boys appeared on the stage, the theater bursted in euphoria and fanaticism. Niall greeted the public, and even when they weren't in silence, the band started singing. Three screens showed first a video of the band and then the lyrics of the songs that they were singing. The boys moved along the whole stage, dancing, making their fans crazy of joy. At times they were quiet in order to encourage the public to sing.

I felt disappointed to see that Harry and I weren't making eye contact like I expected, on the other hand, captivated by his beautiful smile I would have liked to run up to him in order to hug him and kiss him.

To my surprise, the concert finished with 'What makes you beautiful,' my favorite song which is in the first album, while the concert was dedicated to the last one. Moreover I was totally puzzled when Harry's solo came and he, staring at me sang:

"Ana you light up my world like nobody else..."

'Did he say my name or was it my imagination?' I wondered, incredulously.

I looked at my friend. She looked back at me, mischievously and said in my ear:

"Aw, he's confessing his feelings for you! How daring... and how romantic!"

I stayed silent...

The band kept singing:

"You don't know, oh, oh/ You don't know you're beautiful / If only you saw what I can see, / You'll understand why I want you so desperately / Right now I'm looking at you and I can't believe, / You don't know, / Oh, oh, / You don't know you're beautiful / Oh, oh, / You don't know you're beautiful."

Harry finished the song not without first dedicating it to me:

"Ana, my pretty girl who is among the crowd, this goes for you... That's what makes you beautiful."

I was paralyzed and the public clapped their hands.

When the clappings were about to finish, a familiar voice chanted, yelling and clapping.

"KISS, KISS, KISS!!!"

I looked back, dazed, and nudged Daniela, softly. She ignored me. Leonor, Elisa and Sally were the first ones who played along with her. Immediately, all the public started copying them, so I had no choice but to go up on stage, embarrassed to death to kiss Harry.

He was waiting for me, smiling and with his arms opened. The other boys were smiling too. Harry is much taller than me. That meant that I had to stand on my tiptoes and he had to bend over if we wanted to kiss. We hugged. I shivered as he picked me up, I looked at him, surprised, he kept smiling. We put our faces close, our lips touched, and then for the first time as something more than friends, we kissed, romantically. Tears of joy poured out of my eyes and I heard once more the public's loud claps.

As the concert finished, when the boys were heading to the dressing room, some fans who had managed to evade security checks, approached them in order to ask for their autographs and to take selfies with them. They accepted, but after a while, they, exhausted and desperate because of their girlfriends' poutings, they managed to get away from their fans, aided by Paul and the other bodyguards... We ended up this fantastic night in a restaurant where we celebrated Valentine's Day party and exchanged gifts.
