Chapter 42

Joe's Pov

Olivia had finally met my parents. My mum and Dad both loved her and I mean who couldn't she was amazing. They were both really excited to have their first grandchild on the way and was surprised it was me first rather than Zoe. We were now back home and we were both sitting on Liv's sofa. we had gone back to mine to drop of my bags and check in on Caspar but he wasn't there so we went straight to Liv's. We had been home for about an hour and Liv was already moaning about him hungry and board she was.

"I'm so board"

Liv moaned stretching her legs along the sofa and resting her head on my lap.

"Huh I'm offended, is my company not good enough"

"Not when we are are just sitting ehre watching a film, I want to do something, I have so much energy"

Liv replied moving around on the sofa.

"Ok let me think"

"Come on there's got to be something we can do"

"Well we're pretty limited as it's 5 o clock on a Sunday night most places are going to be shutting down for the night"

"True"

Liv muttered. After a few minutes of silent I finally thought of a idea

"Ok what about ice skating"

"OMG yes!! I love ice skating"

"There we go"

"Come on then lets get going"

Liv said jumping up off of the sofa, pulling me with her.

"Ok, ok let me just get my shoes on"

Liv sighed as she watched me put my shoes and grabbed her beanie that she had on earlier from the side and pulled it back on.

"Ready"

I said standing up

"Ok then lets go"

She grabbed her bag on the way out and locked there door behind us

"Wait how are we going to get there"

"We can take the train up there as it's only 2 stops and then it's only a 3 minute walk roughly"

"Ok then"

We made our way out of the apartment and down the road to the train station. We brought our tickets and climbed on the next tube line train there was for our stop. As I said we were only on the train for a short period of time as the ice rink is pretty close to where we live. Once we had got off the train we made our way down the busy streets of London. As we were walking Liv informed me

"Christmas is pretty soon"

"Pretty soon? It's 3 months away!!"

"3 months isn't a long time"

"We only started October a earlier on in the week, we've still got Halloween to come yet"

"True but I can't wait for Christmas with all the gift giving and Christmas lights oh and the mine pies"

Liv grinned

"Calm down your starting to sound like Zoe"

"Ah come on Scrooge there's nothing wrong with a little early Christmas spirt"

"Oi! I'm not scrooge I just don't won't to think about Christmas just yet"

"Fine"

Liv replied. Once we arrived at the ice park I suddenly noticed how Christmasy the place looks. Fairy lights were streaming down from the ceiling and there was more hanging around the side os the ice rink and then I swear I saw a mini christmas tree sitting in the corner of this office type place. I mean seriously we've got 3 months left.

'Come on lets go get the skates"

Liv said pulling me towards the desk.

"Wait, you don't want to be skating with your bag in your hand so why don't you go and put it in one of those lockers first"

"Ok"

Liv said running over to the lockers whilst I stayed put. Once she came back we went up to the desk and got two pairs of skates and payed the money for them.

"Ok Joe I am leaving you in charge of remembering the numbers 17 and 18"

Liv said as she started pulling on the skates

"I'll try but I'm not promising anything"

I replied copying her actions. Once we had both gotten our skates on we made our way onto the actually ice. I had forgotten how slippery the ice actually was and found it hard to remember how I had once managed to be able to skate without holding not the edge. Liv started to move back and forth slowly holding on the rail and as soon as she let go she fell flat on her bum.

"Ow"

Liv moaned holding her hand out for me to grab and pull her up. I decided not to laugh at her fail and pull her up because I thought I'm doing that much great either.

"Ok lets try agin"

Liv muttered to herself. She skated holding on to the rail at first and then let going managing to stay on both two feet. I on the other hand was still holding on to the rail.

"Come on Joe"

Liv said skating towards me

"It's hard"

I replied letting go and loosing my balance

"Come on I'll hold your hand"

She held out her hand and I took and she slowly started to move pulling me around with her. I was very wobbly but at least I was still standing. Liv started to move a bit faster and I finally to the idea of how to stay balanced so I let go of her hand and started skating beside her.

"See it's not that hard when you get the hang of it"

"Yeah I suppose"

What a way to jinx myself. I lost my balance and started falling and grabbed onto Liv pulling her down with me. We both fell onto the ice laughing as the other people skated around us. I looked over to her and smiled. I kissed her.

"I love you Liv"

"I love you too Joe"

A shorter chapter today but still an upload! I can't believe how close we are to 1K reads. That's so many. As soon as we hit it I am going to begin writing the 1K special which I am so excited for as it's a massive event happing. I'm not going to spoil anything else so make sure you stick around for that.
