Kuran Kaname stood tall and with his head held high as he swept his long fingers through chocolate colored hair. "Lucia," he began in an icy tone that chilled the entire palace, "It is wrong to desire something so precious as my blood. For that you will be killed by my hand." The words had bearly left Kaname's soft pink lips when she was abruptly pushed against the wall.

But the pureblood paid no mind to her whines of fear as he calmly walked to the sobbing figure that lie crumpled on the cold dusty floor. "Shhh, Zero. Zero, you are safe with me." Kaname cooed but the boy thrashed violently anyway as he felt Kaname's cool fingers brush the cuffs to break them. Zero went on with his struggles not wanting to relinquish power the beastly pureblood with the ability to turn humans. But soon Zero's mind wandered far away from the castle and he could only faintly hear Kaname's words echoing somewhere deep in his mind, "Relax and rest now. You're safe." The voice was gentle and pushed Zero into a world where winds didn't roar and whirl him in the air.

Kaname's arms slipped around the vaguely aware silver haired hunter and lifted him up. Then, with hatred in his glaring eyes, he called upon the power that urged him to lose control with this noble who had far beyond simply overstepped a boundary line. Zero was not only precious to Kaname, but the noble had also been vying for his blood. He let go and the winds that had so obedient to Lucia just earlier betrayed her for their greater master. Her body contorted and was ripped apart as blood sprayed from all the tears where she's been so violently pulled apart. But Kaname and Zero were clean for Kaname had ensured that Zero would not come near that blood of such an outrageous noble. Zero eyes gleamed red, he'd lost so much blood and his wrists and ankles were still bleeding.

"Zero, stop." Kaname tried to soothe the hunter's vigorous movements and his desperate attempts to gain his freedom but the strong pureblood held him tightly and with his crimson eyes he used his power to subdue the thrashing motions of the terrified hunter and push him into a deep sleep. "Sleep." The words seemed to resound through Zero's quieting mind and he felt himself begin to slip away from the reality where a Kuran was nestling him close and calming his aches and pains.

Kaname held Zero close and tight as he gained speed until he was running at his full pureblood speed through the forest trees that surrounded the wretched noble's now burning home. Kaname would not stand for someone threatening what was his. And Zero was his. Zero was a pawn, he was a hunter turned vampire. But most of all, the silver-haired boy was loved and adored by the pureblood who was too afraid of rejection to admit his confused feelings.

Kuran Mansion was getting bigger and bigger in Kaname's eyes and so he slowed his pace only slightly so he could smash in the huge and strong door that blocked his rapid path to the recovery area. There, he set Zero down and pressed his lips to his love's wrists and ankles. One by one, the blood began to dry and the wounds began to pull themselves shut. He gently licked away all the dried blood and his crimson eyes flashed a vibrant red as he pulled himself away from the unconsious form of his level d angel.
