Ghoul Busters

I wash my face off with water, was I too forward? I hope not- slowly I leave the bathroom, hoping she's still in line, but she's gone. I panicked at the disco themed area for a bit before realizing I could just text her.

Jesse: Hey where r u?

Alex: Bathroom, just give me a src.

Alex: Sec*

They emerge from the family bathroom a few seconds later. We walk to the movies together, I grow tense every time Alex look's at me with her deep brown eyes. She smiles at me, and I smile back.

"So, how was your day?" Alex asks as we sit down.

"It was great! No work today, goin' to the movies..." I can't believe I didn't stutter!

"Yea, so, have you seen the other ghoul busters before this one?" They ask as they hand me my popcorn and coke.

"Yea, I don't remember much though." There is a long silence after I say this.

The movie begins shortly after, we kept laughing every five minutes, even though there wasn't a funny moment, because we were trying to land popcorn in our mouths most of the movie. 

"Hey, didn't notice you here!" My big sister May scoots in between us.

"What's up?" She smiles at me.

I lower my voice and pull her close

"What the hell are you doing? I am on a date," I glare at her.

"Trust me, you don't want her," May smiles at me.

"Alex I need to talk to May outside, i'll be right back." I nervously stand up with my sister's arm in my hand, and I walk her outside the dark room.

"May why are you doing this?" I feel anger bubbling up inside me.

"It is a Demon! Alex want's your soul! Not you heart!" She almost yells.

"A demon? I told you to stop it with the demon stuff! There is no such thing! Alex is nice, please just don't ruin this for me! Will you please sit on the other side of the theater?" I know Alex will hate me for this, I can feel it. I really hope she doesn't. As I walk away I can feel May's puppy dog eyes on the back of my head. Don't look back don't look-  I look into her big brown puppy dog eyes. Letting out I deep sigh, I try to turn around but can't.

"If you can prove it, i'll leave, OK? Just prove it without bothering her!" I walk into the theater and sit back down next to Alex, who pretends it never happened. After the movie as we walked back up I see May in the corner of my eye, running silently behind Alex with a bucket of water, I jump behind Alex right before pours the bucket out. The water splatters all over me, and my new jeans. 

"MAY!" I glare at her with anger.

"N-no Jesse, it was meant for her- look, where it hit her! Here arm is burnt! This is holy water! She's a demon!" May's eyes are wide.

"May. Just go." I turn to Alex

"I am just so sorry, please forgive me- I can leave if you want-" They stop me.

"No, stay. I know it's not your fault." Alex looks at me forgivingly and grabs my hands.

"Hey, why don't we just go to the Chinese place? I can meet you there later after you dry off, in an hour?" They smile at me, I nod to her as we both leave the theater.
