Cemil's POV
I sighed and closed my eyes while lying on the blanket in the garden. I wanted to enjoy the morning sun but it seemed doing that would be difficult due to the clouds that blanketed the sun now and then. I had nothing else to do, so I still remained on the blanket. My phone began ringing and I opened my eyes and reached for it by my side. It was Zach calling and I hesitated answering it but did it anyway.
"Hel-"
"Where are you?"
"In the garden, I-"
"Come to the house now."
I was about to reply but the phone call ended. I sighed and got up carefully, minding my big pregnant stomach. I put on my slippers and carried the blanket. I waddled back to the house where I found Zach in the living room. He got up and walked towards me which made me stop in my step. We had an argument this morning and he left to work very angry this early morning. I didn't expect him to come back this soon after the heated argument we had.
"Zach, I-"
"No Cemil, please let me speak." He pleaded and I shut my mouth. He sighed and approached me, taking hold of my hands in his.
"I'm so sorry about this morning. I said things I wasn't supposed to say and I know my words hurt you because they weren't that good."
"It's okay Zach."
"No it isn't okay. I should spend time with you and not get cooped up in my office. Things have been hard for me with now being head of the clan and the business, but that shouldn't have been an excuse of leaving you alone." He sounded so sincere and I knew he was really sorry.
It has been a month since we discovered that Zach was a dragon lord. After he came back from helping Kenneth, he took me from my family home so that I should live with him in the city. I understood his reason for not being around and during the whole weeks I had been here I never complained. Today I only asked if he could stay with me because I needed him home with me but he refused to stay. I got mad and started calling him out on everything I had let pass without complaining and that caused the argument. He told me I was ungrateful and nagging lover which made me cry. He couldn't stand the sight of me crying so he left. After I calmed down, I took a bath and then decided to get some fresh air in the garden.
"You have been patient with me and you took care of my son while I spent half the night in the office. I should be able to make some time for you, now that you are due anytime and I have to be with you when you go in labour. That's why you asked me to stay with you because you are afraid to be alone when that time comes. I should have understand you and make time for you than what I did in the morning. Please forgive me for refusing your request and hurting you with my unthoughtful words."
"I love you Zach." I told him honestly, in my own way of assuring him that I have forgiven him and he smiled and hugged me as much as he could with my big belly.
"I love you too, so so much dearest." He murmured and then pulled away from me. "I've taken a break from work and anything keeping me busy until the new member of our family joins us. I'll spend every waking moment with you and I'll hold you all night." He smiled at me and I hugged him again.
His phone began ringing and he pulled away to answer it. I looked at him with a smile and watched him talk to whoever had called him. He was refusing to meet someone but the other person seemed to be insisting which made him sigh and put the phone on hold. He gave me a half smile and I wondered what the phone call was all about.
"A mated couple wants to meet me to talk. They say they have something important to tell me and they are already on their way to this city since they don't leave around here. What should I tell them? Whatever you decide will be okay with me."
