He saw him walking towards the library during lunch. His big, square, black glasses sitting on the bridge of his nose. He pushed them up while deeply concentrating on the book he was holding  with his long, delicate looking fingers, never once losing his place.

He wished that he could feel those hands encased in his and feel those eyes focused on his own.

Most of all, he wished to be noticed by the beautiful boy.

He walked into the library a few seconds after the boy who went by the name of Lucas Smith, Luke for short.

After tailing in after the tall boy, he pretended to be searching for an interesting book to read. He skimmed over a few books in the romance section, actually looking at a few that seemed somewhat interesting.

By now Lucas was situated at the comfortable, red arm chair in the back of the library just across from the romance section.

Nicolai's felt his heart skip a beat as the boy parted his perfect, pink lips after reading a certain part in his novel.

Nic continued to do his pretend searching in the romance department, which had an array of books on the smooth wooden surface of the slightly aged bookshelf, before looking at his watch and noticing that lunch was ending in a few more minutes.

Peeling his eyes away from the gorgeous boy before his eyes, he grabbed 5 random books from the shelf and proceeded to walk to the check out desk on the opposite side of the room.

As he walked the books were wobbling slightly and before he knew it were sent crashing to the ground, making an embarrassingly loud noise in the quiet room.

In a fluster due to his crush witnessing the embarrassing stunt he crouched down to retrieve the books.

While doing so he heard someone clear their throat softly. Nic glanced up seeing that it was Lucas.

The crouching boy blushed and mumbled out a quick 'hi', making the standing boy smile a bit revealing an insanely cute, deep dimple in his left check.

Luke crouched down along with Nic and helped him to gather his books.

" This one is really good."  Lucas mumbled out shyly, scratching behind his ear and standing up.

"Huh?" Nic replied dumbly, still in a daze from the sudden proximity of the boy he was currently crushing on.

"Umm.. I said that this book is really good. I've umm read the whole series." He blushed and looked up into Nic's striking green eyes.

"Oh! Uhm.. cool, I haven't read a good book in a while." Nic answered the insanely cute brunette boy.

"This is uhm..actually book two of the series. I'll bring you book 1 tomorrow if you want it." He answered while tugging at the loose thread on his light blue, knit sweater.

"That would be really great! If it's no bother of course." Nic replied happily, finally having the chance to talk to his crush, even though it was about something as simple as a book.

"Not at all. Uhm I guess I'll see you later, Nic." He said upon hearing the first bell signaling that lunch was ending.

"Don't wanna be late, bye!" He added before turning to exit library.

"Bye, Lucas!" He replied eagerly, both from talking to his crush and the fact that Lucas knew his name.

He couldn't wipe the grin off of his face for the rest of his day.
