Thats Lasos over there!
When Dorian returned to the manor, the sun had already kissed the ground and the evening was dark, he planned to retire to his chambers and pass on dinner that night but he was stopped by the count on the staircase.
The count had a stoic look on his face, looking at the squirming governor from head to toes before his face scrunched up in distaste, he moved closer to Dorian making him cower, and sniffed the young governor.
"A fair evening to you my Lord, did i do anything to upset you?"
Dorian asked, running his hands through his hair in uneasiness, his eyes, downcast."who were you with, hmm? Where were you, who did you spend the day with? Why do you smell different" The count demanded with a hard expression.
"I....i...i w-ww....went to the m....market place to get s-some boots, the only people around me were the merchants and vendors"
answered Dorian in a shaky voice, presenting the satchel bag which had the boots in it.
"you're not telling me everything, who were you with?" Nickolaus asked the terrified young man again.
Gripping his arm, he pulled him up the stairs quickly and threw him into the vast library, banging the door shot and turning back to the cowering young man with an evil glint in his eye.
"I wasn't with anyone! i didn't stray, you can ask the coachman, i didn't go anywhere except the market, i swear by the holy mother."
Dorian was beyond frightened at this point, the count was displaying such beastly tendencies and though he had known him for a short time, this was very unusual. He could not remember being with anyone but Hadrim who was a mere peasant and not someone of great importance, and Hadrim had been on the way so he didnt think it necessary to mention this to the count.
"Then why do you return this late? did you happen to cross the sea to the east just for riding boots?"
"n..no my lord, it was only the mark-""LIAR!!!" the count screamed out which made the library quiver as he took threatening footsteps towards Dorian who was looking frantically for an escape route.
Everything seemed to happen at the same time, as the count lunged at Dorian, the library door burst open, Lasos and Thon racing in. Lasos quickly grabbed a hold of his father while Thon tried to help move the count out of the library. The count was struggling and wriggling against Lasos surprisingly strong hold with loud growls coming from him, he almost seemed like a........ rabid animal.
"Sir Dorian please go to your chambers now, the count is of ill health and we are taking him to his medecines, apologies for his rude and awful behaviour. oh and please do not mention this to anyone"
The butler pushed into through labour breaths giving Dorian a nod before making his way, along with Lasos and the grunting count, out of the library.
Dorian felt his legs weaken after they left and had to hold on to one of the many shelves for support, he was trying to grasp what had just happened. what sickness could possibly make a man act like the count, he thought. He could only hope and pray to the mother that he count would be well again.
After a few moments, he finally regained some feeling in his legs and started making his way to his chamber, half expecting the count to jump out from a corner and rip him to shreds. He was guarded, terrified and on edge through out the walk to his chambers, always looking behind him to make sure he wasn't being followed.
He walked into his chambers, heaving a sigh of relief but he still couldn't.
shake off the fear from his bones, he couldn't sit still, he felt very uncomfortable and the only remedy he knew for this was a walk outside, with fresh air filling him.
