4-The Chase And Awful Memories

Hiccup's P.O.V.

As she flew out of the cove I just stared at Toothless's tail as he pawed at it, checking to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

A dragon shooting ice instead of fire. Amazing, but this was no time to be pondering over that dragon or it's rider. I needed to find her and explain to her that we are not the enemy.

Wait, did I just say and it's rider. Focus hiccup, you have Astrid.

I got my sword out. The one that I can light on fire thanks to Hookfang's gel (Snotlout's dragon) and melted the ice chaining Toothless to the ground. His tail was soaked due to the ice melting into water.

Luckily I always keep a spare in my saddle bag.

After I replaced Toothless's tail we prepared to take off, but before we did I told the gang, " Head back to Berk and do NOT follow us. Too many riders could look like a threat to them."

They all nodded and we went our separate ways.

Julia's P.O.V.

Me and SnowSwirl flew as fast as we could as far away as we could from those riders and their dragons.

"Faster girl, please. Being around people brings back awful memories." I said trying my best to block out a memory from coming back.

SnowSwirl said, Trust me, I'm going as fast as I can go. Being around people brings back trapper memories.

Suddenly, I couldn't keep it back anymore and the memory filled my head.

Flashback

"C'mon Hiccup, you're losing to a girl!" I said to my best friend as we raced through the village on the island of Jenua.

"I'm going as fast as I can, I might be 8 but you're 5, so you can run faster because you're smaller." He said Panting after every few words.

"Julia, stop racing with Hiccup and quickly get over here, I have something to tell you!" Yelled my father, Josh, the chief of the Jenuens.

"Coming daddy!" I said as I skipped past a clearly out of breath Hiccup towards my father.

"Be back in a minute Hiccy!" I said as I passed him. He just nodded in reply.

We sat down in our living room and I realized Uncle Stoick,my mommy and the village elder were already sitting in the living room, worried expressions written all over their faces.

"Guys, what's going on?" I asked completely confused.

"This kind man here just has a quick test he wants to do with you, don't worry dear, it won't hurt. I promise." Said daddy.

"Okey dokey!" I said smiling.

The elder walked towards me and spoke in a strange way I didn't understand.
When he reached me he put 2 of his fingers on my forehead and a strange mark appeared. Everyone else in the room gasped.
