James takes a step in front of me. "You've got to be joking if you think I'm letting that happen."
"Yeah?" Lucy clicked her fingers and two men stepped beside her. "Take Jewels away."
The men looked at James, but did not make an attempt to move, which made Lucy angry. "I said take her aw—you know what? Fine, I'll do it myself."
"Over my dead body," James spat, as Lucy walked towards him. She stood before James and smirked. "You're forgetting, Lucy, I'm in charge when Jeremy is away. Regardless if I'm injured, he would never allow you to be in charge."
In a split second Lucy placed her hands on James's chest and pushed him roughly into a wall, he winced and released a groan, making no attempt to push her away. That was when I noticed her hand was over the place she had shot him.
"What's wrong, big boy? Can't handle a little pain?" She smirked and put pressure on his wound.
"Get off me, Lucy," James warned. "I mean it." He groaned when she released her hand only to punch him on his injury.
"Or what—"
By this time I could see the blood leaking through James's shirt, I could not take it. "Or I will kill you." My veins were already glowing with the surfacing energy.
Everyone's head snapped in my direction, Lucy's eyes widened in shock when I leaped at her. My hands connected with her body, forcing her off James, who had to hold onto the wall for support.
"Revenge shall be mine," I spoke so that only she could hear. I watched as she gasped when her back collided with the opposite wall. "You will pay for your lies." My hands wrapped around her throat, lifting her off the ground. "You are right, Lucy."
She looked at me, eyes still wide. "About what?" she asked, her voice coming out hoarse.
"I am a monster." It was my time to smirk. "A monster like me should be caged because you never know when I might snap." I could feel the power surging through my body, waiting to be released. "And another thing, do not threaten me again."
"Jewels, calm down," James spoke behind me, but I ignored him.
"Perhaps it is not the ROGS you should be worried about, nor the Borums, or even the Zutorian's." My hands tightened around her neck, I began to channel my power from my hands and into Lucy's flesh causing her veins to glow. "Perhaps it is me, I am your greatest enemy, but now that I think of it—"
I could hear James walking up behind me but the words I said next causes him to stop.
"I would rather die than join you."
Lucy started whimpering, the effects of my energy destroying her from the inside out. "L-let me g-g-o."
I released my hands from her neck and she dropped to the ground. I turned around, every vein in my body was glowing brightly, and it scared the people in the room. They took a step back as I take a step forwards.
Two marked arms wrapped around my waist forcing me against his chest. "Release me!"
"No, you're coming with me," James spoke into my ear and then faced the guards. "Take Lucy to the holding rooms, don't let her out until Jeremy is back. You got that?"
The two men who were supposed to take me nodded and turned to Lucy, taking her arms and pulling her away. "I can't believe you're letting an enemy inside our walls!" she yelled.
