Anniversary

    It was yours and Lucifer's three year anniversary and you wanted it extra special. You had set up a small dinner in the pent house while cooking his favorite human food, but the dinner and the romantic set up wasn't the special part. Maze was do anytime with present you had requested for the Devil, something dear to his soul. A ring his father made and had given to him and him alone, something he secretly treasured and missed.

The sound of the elevator doors opening made you jump and run from the almost done dinner to make sure it wasn't Lucifer who walked through the doors. You let out a huge sigh in relief to see the Demon Mazikeen there instead. She held a bored look on her face and gave a small sigh before reaching into her leather jackets pocket, pulling out a box.

"I managed to get the ring." She smirked.

"Oh thank you Maze!" You gentle take the box from her hands and pull her into a tight hug, which she awkwardly returned. "How did you manage to get it?"

"It took a lot of work but I managed to pull some strings along with Amenadiel." She chuckled briefly before locking eyes with you. "Now hurry up and make the best of this night with Lucifer. You both deserve it." She walked out of the penthouse and you rushed off to finish dinner.

"Oh (Y/N) darling!" Lucifer called out as he strutted into his home. "I hope you didn't forget-" he stopped his words when he fell into slight shock at the sight in front of him. You dressed up in the gorgeous (color) dress he likes, his favorite meal and the candles setting a romantic feel in the room.

"Happy anniversary, Luci." You looked delighted at his reaction.

"Happy anniversary, my dear." He smiled with tenderness as he joined you at the table.

You and Lucifer were currently sipping some wine, finished with the delicious meal you had made.

"I have a gift for you my dear." Lucifer pulled out a small, velvet box from his suit pocket and handed it to you. Carefully, you opened the box and gasped at the sight. A simple but equally stunning necklace laid gently, made from sterling silver and a small diamond.

"It's-It's beautiful." You gushed.

"I'm glad you like it."

"Oh here! I have something for you too!" You get up from the table and grab his ring from your hiding spot before handing it to your husband. His dark brown eyes inspected the familiar box carefully before opening it. His eyes went wide like saucers at the sight of his pearly white and black ring in front of him. The ring he thought he had left behind forever. "I just- I remember you speaking of the ring and how much it means to you so I just thought I would try and get it for you."

"H-How?"

"Maze and Amenadiel helped retrieve it." You looked at Luci's face, which hadn't changed, it started to make you worry he didn't like the gift. "D-Do you not like?"

"No! I love it!" He jumped up with a huge smile on his face, tears were glistening in his eyes as he slipped on the ring. Unexpectedly, his hand found your hip, pulling you closer to him. Your hand resting on his broad shoulder while his breath quicken along with yours. His eyes closed and his lips brushed against yours, his lips warm and hints of wine lingered on them. When you both broke apart, you simple stared into each others eyes, smiles gracing both of you.

"I love you." He breathed, almost wordlessly. "You mean the world to me, (Y/N), you mean more to me than this ring."

"Oh Luci, I love you too." You pressed your lips against his briefly. "Happy anniversary."

"Happy anniversary."
