Emily's POV

When Liam leaves in his car, I walk in the gift shop. I'm still talking to Alyssa to see what had happened before.

"Hey." I say to Alyssa, and she looks up from her phone.

"Hey!" She says, putting her phone on the counter.

"I have some questions. So you know how the other day, you told me to stay away from Liam." I continued to tell her everything that had happened, and what he has just told me outside.

"He quit that nasty job for you?" Her eyes go wide, and her mouth is parted. I slowly nod, looking at her confused.

"Yeah. I know it's good and everything but I don't know if I can trust him." I say, and she slowly nods.

"You have a point. But you should give him one more chance. Just get to know him. If he quit that horrible job for you.. Well that's not like him. He wouldn't do that for a girl. Give him a chance." She explains, patting my back.

"I actually am. He's taking me out on a date tonight. We're going somewhere, I'm not sure where though." I say.

"I hope you have fun." She says, and I smile at her, thanking her.

"What time is it?" I ask her.

"Uhhhmm." She looks at her phone, "it's six-thirty."

"Okay, well I have to go." I say, leaving the store.

I'm so glad I get extra days off from work. Christmas is coming soon, and I need to work out something with my mom. I also need to find out when my scholarship starts at the University Of Chicago. I'm supposed to be going there soon, just to take a few classes for designing. I've always wanted to be a designer for pretty much everything. I love getting creative and coming up with new designs and prints. I have to basically retake all my high school subjects first, then I can get started with my designing.

By the time I'm home from walking its about a quarter after seven. I need to fix my hair and change my clothes.

I decide on curling the ends of my hair real quick. I need to wear something warm since the first snow was yesterday. December is not the warmest month of the year. I grab my black skinny jeans with the slits in both knees. a pair of black boots to keep me warm, and a big oversized sweater that's a solid red color.

I hear a knock on my door as I'm finishing up my makeup.

"One second!" I shout, grabbing my bag and taking my phone off the charger.

When I'm down stairs, Liam is standing by the front door looking at a picture sitting on the small table next to the door.

"Ready?" I ask, and he sets the picture down.

"Yeah." He breathes, looking me up and down. I also admire him. He's wearing light washed skinny jeans, his boots, and an Adidas hoodie.

"You look nice." He stutters, looking at me for approval.

"Don't be nervous." I giggle, grabbing my coat that's black.

"I'm not." He huffs, "I've just never done this before. Like a date. With a girl." He says the last part quietly. I nod.

"Me either." I say, and this makes him smile. "Well, I've been on dates but I didn't enjoy them, mainly because I was forced." We laugh a little.

He opens the door, leading me out. I lock the door behind me, as we ride the elevator down and out the lobby doors.
