He glanced down at me, and all I could do was smile.  Mark decided it was best if the four of us went out to lunch, and so we were currently sitting in a restaurant. Jack was to my right, Mark across from me, and their friend, who I learned was named Ken, sitting next to Mark.

"So let me get this straight. You moved to L.A. to  grow up? And you dumped coffee on my sister?" Jack asked, pointing between the two of us.

I nodded, smiling. "And then he bought me a new shirt and we just... talked?"

Jack shook his head confused. "What?"

I giggled. "I even brought up how you and I used to watch his videos. I had no idea who he was until he spelled it out for me."

Mark was smiling softly. He glanced between Jack and I. The shock of us reunited hadn't worn off yet.

"And now you're living with him?" Jack's tone turned serious, his piercing eyes reading mine.

"Well, she was evicted from where she was living because of her neighbors, which by the way, was the absolute most shittiest places I've ever stepped foot in, and so I offered to let her stay in one of my guest rooms until she can get a solid job and income." Mark stated, leaning on one of his hands.

Something crossed my mind, and I couldn't help but snicker. Mark and Jack both looked at me. "What?"

"Why are you laughing?" Jack bumped my shoulder.

"Well, that night, I told Mark about how I almost called you instead of him. But I hadn't quite gotten around to telling you yet that I moved to America, and so he was like 'he sounds like an asshole' or something like that. Just, it's funny."

"Wow Mark. Wow. I'm not surprised." Jack chuckled.

"Hey, I thought you were on my side! Traitor!" Mark pouted.

I grinned, glancing between the two. Starting off small, and trying not to laugh, I sang softly. "It's a small world after all."

"No! God no! Please, spare me of nightmares!" Mark stated loudly. Jack covered my mouth with his hand. On instinct, I licked his palm.

He wiped his hand on his jeans, trying to get my spit off him. I giggled hard, wiping a tear from my eye. "UHg! Gross (y/n)! That's fuckin disgusting!"

"Then don't cover my mouth next time." I wheezed out, trying to calm my laughter.

Mark stood up suddenly. "Welp. I have to go to the restroom. I'll be right back."

Ken popped to his feet, and I almost forgot about him. He hadn't really said anything until this point, just texting on his phone. "I'm gonna go, too. Gotta pee after all that liquid drink."

I chuckled at his statement, watching the two walk away.

Jack, with a serious look, turned towards me. I swallowed thickly, sobering up.

"Okay. Elevator talk. Now."

When we were younger, we used to have these whenever there was something serious to talk about, and not a lot of time to talk about it. The point was to get as much information in a short amount of time, like a ride in the elevator.

"What do you want to know?" I ask softly.

"Do you like Mark?"

His question baffled me. "Well, of course I do. He's really nice, and I don't know what I would have done without him. I'd probably be living under a bridge."

"No," Jack stressed his words. "Do you like Mark?"

I bit my lip. "I don't know. I've never... you know." been in a relationship I couldn't quite say..
