I walk down the hallway and I open the door to my room. A ding goes off on my computer. Startling me, I walk over to the computer and sit down. It's an email. I click open my email and I read the email heading.
Foxewood Academy Rodeo Team
Butterflies begin to fill my stomach. I click on the email and I begin to read it.
Dear Abigail Caraway,
After watching your ride today, I was very pleased with your performance. Since there are only three spots on the rodeo team I have picked you for the third spot. I have looked over you and Gabby's riding and how I graded you very hard. I am pleased to have you on my team I would like for you to meet at the Frost this Saturday to meet your new riding mates. Of course you will have to enroll into the school to join.
Here is my contact information for your parents:

Once I finish reading the email so many emotions ran through me. The feelings of happiness, excitement, sadness, and mostly guilt ran throughout my entire body. I click on the reply button.
Dear Mr. Xavier,
I would gladly accept your invitation to the Foxewood Academy Rodeo team. What time should I meet everyone at the Frost? I will tell my parents about the invitation to the school and then I will gladly let you know.
In case you would like to contact my parents:

I hurry down stair, with my laptop, with excitement bubbling in me. "Mom! Mom! Guess what!" I yell, with a broad grin on my face. When I get to the third step I jump off and I almost slip and fall but I balance myself just in time. She looks at me with wide eyes. "What happened?" She looks at my computer screen. "Well today at practice a recruiter from Foxewood Academy came and watch me and Gabby ride." I say excitedly, "Then when I got home I got and email saying that he wants me on the team. I just need to enroll into the school before November tenth." I say still smiling. "Well I will have to talk to your father about this." She says picking up her phone. "Did the recruiter leave his number?
She asked. "Yes he left the school and his office numbers." I respond quickly. "Okay Abby, I will call your father about this and we will see." She says dialing my father's number. I squeal with excitement and do my happy dance; I rarely do this so if I do it is something big. My mom copies the numbers Mr. Xavier left in the email and begins to talk to my father on the phone. I take my computer and go upstairs. When I get upstairs I set my laptop on my desk and I flop myself on my bed. I have to tell Gabby about this. Then it hits me. I click the home button on my phone and it exits off of messages. The thought of Gabby and I fighting just tears me apart. But the things she said to me just ruined everything. I cannot believe that she was so selfish and mean. I have no idea what has gotten into Gabby, this is not the girl that I have known all my life.
