The Heartbreak!

CHAPTER 4

I grabbed some things in a backpack, took my jacket and ran downstairs to my dad. “going somewhere?" he leaned, looking at my backpack. “yeah! An urgent sleepover" i giggled. “Lilly isn't it? ok but take care and dont sleep too late" he raised his eyebrow and smiled. I kissed his cheek adding a “thank you daddy" before leaving the house.

After ringing the doorbell, Lilly's mom opened.With a warm hug, she welcomed me in. Lilly came jumping to me, and pulled me to her room. We sat down and started talking.

“so tell me? What happened between you and Nick?? He was asking me for your number!" she asked looking so happy. “you and Zack left us! Thats what happened!" i said rolling my eyes. “oh wait?? My Number? Did you give him?" i waited for her answer.

Looking down, playing with her fingers, she replied “erm... Why??". “you gave him!! So the unknown number was his??" i looked at her raising an eyebrow. “Please please! I'm sorry. He's really sweet. Why is it a problem??" she said looking at me with those puppy dog eyes. After a long pause i said “we... K..kissed!". She sat there with het mouth open. I could sense het happiness.

I then continued “you know already! After what happened, i don't want any relationship. I'm not ready yet!" i sighed. She sat on her knees, held my shoulders, and nearly yelled “Riya! It's been 1 year! Probably even more! Get over that jerk already! Do you plan to die alone?? Just because of him??". After calming herself, she continued “I'm sorry! I ashamed of myself Riya! I'm ashamed that the jerk is my brother. I can't say anything better than i'm sorry". Narrowing my eyes i pattet her head quickly. “ouch!" she rubbed her head and asked “why that?!". I said smiling “If you say sorry again, i'll hit you even harder!". I laughed and she joined me.

“Oh! Btw, where did you and Zack go??" I asked, rasing my eyebrow. She giggled and then said “on a date!" saying that, she coverd her head with bed covers. Removing that, i asked her with a devlish smile, “Oh reaaaallyy?? Honestly now, how far did you two go??". “We.. Made out. And we have a date tomorrow" she Covered her face again. Over the covers, i started tickling her.

Suddenly, my phone rang. Before i reached it, Lilly already picked up. “Oh hi Nick" she said. The “Nick" part she almost yelled. She then continued “no, i'm Lilly. But Riya's right beside me". After a little pause she said again “yeah totally! She was actually thinking the Same think!.....yes thats perfect. So tomorrow at the coffee shop at 2". With panick, i tried pulling away my phone from her, but she was stronger. Right before she hung up, she said “yup, then she'll see you tomorrow! Byee!". She smiled at me as if she did nothing.

With anger I asked, “why the hell did you do that?". She sat on her knees and with a very calm voice she said “Oh C'mon Ri! He's a really nice guy. And i'm sure Only When you start dating someone, you'll finally get over Mike! Just go tomorrow! If you don't enjoy spending time with him, then its not like you have to go out with him again! Right??!". I knew she was right so i nodded without saying a Word.

Suddenly we heard a deep voice yelling “guys! sLeep already!! It's 2.30 in the morning for god's sake!". It was Lilly's dad. Lilly and I, we are friends since kindergarden. And our families are also close, so i didn't mind him yelling. We giggled and replied hiding our laughs “right on it!".
