I made it home to smell Bree cooking something.
That's one thing I love coming home to.
" uncle Jay " June said running downstairs.
" wassup baby girl how was school "
" it was awesome we went to the zoo " June said
She talked about all animals that she saw. I realized I zoned out.
" uncle are you even listening to me "
" yes I am "
" what was the last thing I said " she challenged me
" ok you got me there." I said
" ugh uncle pay attention " she said hitting her forehead with hand but not hard.
She was so cute getting worked up for nothing
" hey Junie " Breena said
" yes Aunty " she cheerfully
" can you go in the living room real quick me and yo uncle need to talk about something "
" oh is this about grown-up things? " she said
Bree nodded
" okayyy " she said walking out.
" I swear that girl too smart for her own good " I said

" what you needed though "
" it's about Jason ? "
" what's going on with him " I said getting concerned
" earlier I picked him and June up from school and she kept teasing him about having a girlfriend I told her to stop teasing him about but I asked him about this girl or if there is one and he told me it was a long story and didn't want to talk about it and I was wondering could you talk to him about it "
" where is he ? "
" I don't know probably outside at the basketball court " she said
" alright I'll holla at him " I said getting off the stool.
" and one more thing " Bree said
" what's that "
" I smell cheap perfume " she said looking back at me smirking
" but that ain't my business " she said turning around continuing her cooking.
I could only shake my head i tried washing the scent off.
" try not to lead my nephew in the wrong direction "
" I'll try " I said leaving out the kitchen
I walked out feeling the cool breeze hit me.
It was starting to get cold since fall was right around the corner.
Jason was outside shooting some hoops. He was really good at it.
" can I see " I said
He passes the ball to me.
" Bree told me what happen earlier, you know if something is bothering you should be able to tell me or her right ? " I said making a jump shot
" now what's going in school somebody bothering you "
He shook his head.
